Extravagant World of Warcraft setup includes 47 PCs, seven monitors {Engadget}
Jul 8th 2007 2:41PM Actually, the "why XX number of boxes" is a good question. With dual/quad core machines, virtualization, etc., why do you need one box per account? You'd think it would be worth the money to get slightly better machines and run multiple instances of the game on those?
In other words, what prevents you from "dual-boxing" on a single box?

Jul 8th 2007 2:33PM I imagine you can get away with some crafty use of "follow" commands and scripts/macros to target-assist. Chances are you'd want to focus almost exclusively on DPS for the following accounts and control a healing-class so you can focus on keeping them alive during fights?
DVD Jon whips up a way to activate iPhone without AT&T {Engadget}
Jul 4th 2007 6:02AM They're not obligated to give you anything. AT&T will generally provide unlock codes for phones 90 days (3 months) after you begin a service contract with them, but it's not under mandate of law.
What you're thinking about is a copyright office position that unlocking cell phones does not violate copyright or anticircumvention laws. It just means you won't be prosecuted for doing it.
Further, I doubt AT&T even has the unlock algorithm for the iphone, assuming one even exists. I don't see Apple willing to give it out.

Actually, I think MS is actually found to be considerably better and faster than Apple at patching critical vulnerabilities, though both companies are pretty good as things go.

Jun 25th 2007 12:38AM You got the idea. It was either the 2G or 3G ipods, and they were indeed touch-only (the wheel was of course touch-only, as were the 4-buttons across the top, hence the entire device, save the "hold" switch, was non-mechanical). Now, the clickwheel IS mechanical - the wheel itself is touch-sensitive of course, but the actual forward/backward/play/menu buttons integrated into it, as well as the center button, are mechanical switches.
The "clickwheel" of course refers not only to the circular "scrolling" feature, which is common to all ipods save the shuffle, but specifically includes the mechanical buttons integrated into the wheel (hence, "click" wheel)! After all, before it was a clickwheel, it was just a wheel, whether it was mechanical (1G) or touch-sensitive (1.5G/2G+ onward).
