Samsung i760 hands-on {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 7th 2007 11:48PM I like this device. If it comes to Sprint then I'll probably get it. It just depends if the 6800 is smaller then the 6700. If anyone has any info on if and when this phone is comming out for Sprint then just let me know...

Verizon UTStarcom XV6800: the CDMA TyTn lives! {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 24th 2006 1:02PM @Joba78... I completely forgot about that part, and your right it does suck. I don't think Sprint will actually put that in because then they will have too many satisfied tech hungry customers like ourselves... lol. Yea you can't forget about the touchscreen man, even if the resolution isn't as good as other phones/smartphones on the market. We as Pocket PC users have a great advantage when it comes to navigating through pages on the internet on our devices.

@Ari... Yes I completely agree with you! I've been preaching that forever now... I want HTC to do something about the damn phone aspect of the 6800 because on the 6700, its CRAP. My phone sometime gets stuck when someone is trying to call me and I try to answer it. Its fustrating and I wouldn't mind just changing to a phone that doesn't do this anymore. But... I want a keyboard similar to the 6700 and a touch screen because the keyboard is one of the best i've ever used aside from the Tytn or U.S. branded 8525...

@ALL USERS... Does anyone know when or if Sprint is getting the 6800? And if you do, do you have pics?

Dec 22nd 2006 8:36PM @Joba78... Are you reading my mind??? lol Thats exactly what I want in my phone. Black phones are the prettiest phones ever! And I want the phone I upgrade to have Revision A EV-DO. The "shiny Motorola screens" are not going to happen because that is a smartphone screen such as the Motorola Q. Trust me you don't want that because then you don't get a touchscreen. And from experience, once you go touchscreen, you don't go back. I will upgrade my PPC-6700 for everything you listed and Revision A EV-DO, touchscreen, and a better OS such as the new Windows Mobile "Crossbow"...

Verizon's Samsung i760 out-BlackJacks the BlackJack? {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 22nd 2006 8:25PM LG many people who text alot like landscape mode in their pocket pc/smart phone. I own a PPC-6700 and while I definitely respect the power of the i730, the form factor is the reason that I didn't buy it when I was about to sign with Verizon. This phone does look good though, I have to admit that. If it comes to Sprint and the keys are large enough for fast+accurate texting then I will consider buying it.

Verizon UTStarcom SMT5800: Libra comes stateside in green? {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 22nd 2006 6:14PM Wow that is an ugly phone... I liked it alot more in the traditional gray color and when the keys weren't in mda style. My friend has an MDA and it is an ok device but I think my PPC-6700 has better keys. I agree with Xeper, the screen does show Windows Mobile 5 running so at least it should be a touchscreen...
But for now I am waiting for Sprint's version of the 6800...

Dec 22nd 2006 1:25PM Why does Verizon always get the hot phones before Sprint??? Damnit man! I'm a Sprint guy and I'm sick and tired of this. I hope our version of the 6800 looks as good or better than this device. If anybody has any pics+info on Sprint's 6800 then please leave a link or hit me up. (And please don't show me the old pics from sept of the promo 6800. I've seen that along time ago...)

I love my Mac: OS X theme for Nokia S60 {Engadget Mobile}

Sony patents its own version of the Wiimote and sensor bar {Engadget}

Dec 7th 2006 2:55AM Ha! I knew Sony had a couple tricks up their sleeve. I'm so glad that I got to see this because now I am going to get a PS3 once the next shipment comes in. All you Nintendo fans out there, I have one thing to say to you... Watch your back! lol

Pictures emerge of Sprint's Motorola Q {Engadget}

Nov 30th 2006 4:13PM Brandon, I know it doesn't but as far as the sheer form factor of it and call quality its a winner. If your a 6700 owner/user then you should know that the call quality SUCKS on the 6700. I will probably wait until the 6800 comes out first before I jump the gun and get the Q. The 6700 is getting outdated tho so thats the reason why I think I should just upgrade and get another phone. I like the smart phones a lot because they are simple and the screen resolution is VGA and beautiful! I'm not really a fan of the touchscreen so I think it would benefit me to get the Q or even maybe the 5800 if it does come out for Sprint.
