T-Mobile HotSpot users will get five years of Starbucks WiFi access after AT&T switchover {Engadget}
Feb 19th 2008 1:06AM I think the reason Starbucks charge for WiFi is just because they don't care to be competitive with other local coffee shops. WiFi fees are not their primary source of profits anyways. In my town, some local coffee shops used to charge for WiFi, but they later all switched to free WiFi, because it's just very easy to find another place with free access.
There should be a comprehensive list of free WiFi hotspots across the country/world. That would be sweet.
iPhone and iPod touch to get $100 price drop soon? {Engadget}
Feb 18th 2008 6:34PM Just jailbreak it and don't sign a two-year contract. That way Apple doesn't get a cut of the contract from AT&T.
Ask Engadget: Which mouse is the best mouse? {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2007 8:08PM Apple's Mighty Mouse is absolutely my least favorite. It just hurts my hand so bad. I cannot use it for more than 10 minutes at the Apple Store. I would rather squat down to use the trackpads on one of the MBs or MBPs than an iMac with the Mighty Mouse. The angle at which they set up the stations at the Apple Store is not for tall people. Maybe they do that on purpose so you won't occupy the computers for too long?
All of my past mice have been Logitech except for one Microsoft Notebook Laser 6000. Among them I don't have a single favorite, but I would love to have the Revolution wheel with the MX600 battery life. For notebook mice, a VX Revolution shape combined with a VX Nano receiver would be perfect.
Instant Jailbreak for iPhone and iPod touch {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 29th 2007 3:42AM My iPhone is currently jailbroken with 1.0.2. Do I have to restore it to virgin 1.0.2 before doing this? I know it's going to become unactivated because I did not activate it with AT&T.
iPhone and iPod touch v1.1.1 get instant jailbreak + installer {Engadget}
Oct 29th 2007 3:21AM For iPhone, do I have to restore to a virgin 1.0.2 or can I just go to the site with a jailbroken iPhone with 1.0.2?

Verizon's Juke, Pearl, Venus and Voyager get outed {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 30th 2007 1:37AM c@rl0$, if you say you are laughing it out, you are not. You are very predictable. My comment was aimed at stopping unrelated rants and flaming, like something you are trying to do. I have nothing to do with Verizon. Particularly I think these four handsets look very good, so I continued to read the comments only to find nothing about them. You are assuming I am a Verizon hater without basis. If you get offended by my "idiot" comment, maybe you are feeling a little bit of it inside. I wasn't really expecting anyone to respond to my comment. You obviously were offended and did not have a clue how to handle it. I'll have to leave you alone, since your comments were nothing constructive and only designed to provoke more unrelated comments.
Verizon's Juke, Pearl, Venus and Voyager get outed {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 29th 2007 11:48PM For your information, c@rLo$ (whatever), I did read all 50 comments left before me. Idiots don't read the instruction, which says, "Please keep your comments relevant to this blog entry." All the comments left were related to the Verizon service or other phones they already released, rather than about the four new handsets. Some even were more off-topic. Even if you want to be off-topic, at least make it concise, for god's sake.
Maybe you will do a better job directing people over the many other dedicated Verizon forums elsewhere.
