Flatrate datapackages at affordable prices for UMTS/EDGE are not that far away. In Sweden (with TeliaSonera) you never pay more than aprox. 1,20$ per day for unlimited data transfers.

Sep 18th 2006 3:27AM This is old news for us on the other side of the atlantic. TeliaSonera (Sweden) launched a identical service (actually titled Friend Finder) in 2001 , and it was a miserable failure. Nobody used it, and the service was terminated after a few years.
