DROID mania sweeps the nation, so to speak {Engadget Mobile}
Nov 6th 2009 1:01PM i know that's what i always do. i cant remember the last time i bought a phone in the store. the lines are ridiculously long normally (like a hour wait for anything at least at my store) and you have to deal with the mail in rebates. as far as im concerned, the retail store exist only for if my phone breaks and i want a new one that day instead of waiting through mail

Nov 6th 2009 12:55PM yea it is vertainly looking like it. it took me a month to get ahold of my VZW TP2 ans i know from reading forums still that people are still waiting. plus the fact it's never been in stock in retail outlets. they seem to have put all their marbles on the Droid from the get go.
Verizon "Mobile Web" service currently down {Engadget Mobile}
Nov 5th 2009 2:52PM that sucks. im on my verizon phone right now so i can confirm its only feature phones but that sucks for everyone else.
Ratchet & Clank's primary audience isn't kids, but 20-somethings {Joystiq}
Nov 5th 2009 4:13AM yea i definately agree with that sentiment. this is one of my favorite series and i'm going on 22 pretty soon. it's a rare game because i often play it with my little cousin and he is 13. he can play it fine but he doesn't understand alot of the humor (i can tell cause he doesn't laugh at the same stuff i do). and the blurb about the first game shows they really know their demographic well cause i fit it perfectly lol.
i can't wait til thanksgiving break so i can pick up the new one, haven't had a chance to yet with college and work.
Iwata: Wii's 2009 lineup allowed the 'mood' to 'cool' {Joystiq}
Oct 30th 2009 4:59PM good to hear the honesty. i haven't touched my Wii in like a year and it's a shame because i can look back at all the good games that were coming out pretty regularly (Twilight Princess, Galaxy, Paper Mario, Brawl, Metroid). i have been sorely disappointed lately with it. i also have a PS3 and 360 so it's not like i have a shortage of things to play, but i would like to see them all get equal use (especially since the Wii was my first current gen console when i got it at launch).
Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow coming to DS in Spring 2010 {Joystiq}
Oct 29th 2009 7:34PM yea i liked the first one on 360. actually i haven't finished yet but it's ok when u get deep into it. it is pretty generic though so i could understand someone getting bored with it. typical turn based JRPG really.
Insomniac Games took negative Resistance 2 fan feedback to heart {Joystiq}
Oct 26th 2009 9:38PM i had the same situation but i actually went back to R2 co-op before long. i liked both R2 and K2 but R2's co-op was more fun to me than K2's competitive (especially since people only played on one map it seemed).
Insomniac Games took negative Resistance 2 fan feedback to heart {Joystiq}
Oct 26th 2009 8:56PM i liked both of them but overall i liked the first better. i think i liked the environments and multiplayer of 1 better and the story mode co-op is what got me and my friend to play the game in the first place. the second one's online co-op mode was frickin amazingly addictive but i found myself having to force myself through the campaign mode and didn't really enjoy the competitive multiplayer all that much. if they can mix the high points of 1 and 2 for 3 i'll play it. hell who am i kidding, i'd play pretty much anything Insomniac puts out.
Motorola Droid gets fully previewed, 'must-have' claims may not be far off {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 25th 2009 9:07PM "The D-Pad position is genius!! Considering there is no D-Pad on the face of the phone, you can merely slide the keyboard open and voila!! There is your d-pad, on the bottom of the phone underneath your thumb instead of on the top, albeit on the left side of the screen instead of in the natural position."
as long as the screen doesn't rotate when the keyboard slides out. not sure if android does this but all the WinMo phones i've used do. i guess you could just have the accelerometer override the keyboard slide out thing so the phone knows what way it's facing. i'm still not a fan of the D-Pad being on the left though as a gamer.
Motorola Sholes / Droid comes in US HSPA flavor, probably not US-bound {Engadget Mobile}
