Mar 6th 2009 12:01PM I am one of the people who bought the original iphone on June 29th and didn't upgrade to the 3g iPhone, because it was not enough of an improvement to justify the added monthy fees to use it. I am waiting for the next iPhone to be announced to see if it is a worthy upgrade, since am still eligible for the subsidized price since I didn't buy the new 3g! :)
As far as the Palm Pre goes, it looks like it will be a great phone and the first one to really compete with the iPhone. But, the fact that it is going to be released on Sprint will hurt it sales. And also because the target market for it has already purchased the iPhone 3g and is still on contract on AT&T and will be for a long time, well after the release of the pre. And a lot of those folks already paid early termination fees on other carriers to come to AT&T for the iPhone 3G.

Feb 12th 2009 9:48PM Come on guys, did you really think that I really expect all of this on the next iPhone? Of course this isn't going to happen. I was just trying to tell Apple that this is what people want now on the iPhone and not have to wait several versions and years for this to come to fruition. What would be the harm in building a phone with all of these incredible, but easily doable specs? They could do it without a problem, you know it and I know that they can. And they should. Give the people what they really want and they will continue to dominate the cell phone market at an even faster rate!!

Feb 12th 2009 6:08PM I hope this is not the new iphone, because this one still does not have a flash for the 5 mp camera that should be on the next iphone. And it should be xenon. Yep. And of course, it should record video at 30 frames per second. And it should have a multi-color L.E.D. indicator light on the front, too. And, it should also have a dedicated real physical camera button on the side. And stereo speakers.

Sep 14th 2008 9:14AM The contacts open a little faster now and they don't stick as much, but the camera still takes a painfully long time to open, 5 full seconds! Text messaging is a little better, still not as good as when it was new. This is an original 4 gb 1st gen. Everything worked better before 2.0 came along, unfortunately.
