SEMA Sweeps: Win one of five Sony PSP/Gran Turismo bundles - Day 2 {Autoblog}

Nov 4th 2009 2:09AM Well, that's a silly question. Nürburgring Nordschleife. No doubt about it.

I had the pleasure to get a few laps on it this summer. Truly the mecca of the car world.

SEMA Sweeps: Win one of five Sony PSP/Gran Turismo bundles! - Day 1 {Autoblog}

Nov 2nd 2009 3:16PM The Mazda 787B LeMans car.

It's the reason why I got into cars in the first place. It's why I'm about to finish my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, and applying for graduate school for automotive research. I never thought a triangle-powered, washing machine could move a car so fast.

CTS-V Challenge opened up to any would-be Caddy killers {Autoblog}

Oct 14th 2009 12:41PM How much torque and when? What do you think horsepower is? It's just a calculated number from torque at an engine speed.

And the reason why the MKS did well in that comparison wasn't just because of "torque". It had all to do with the power loss of naturally aspirated engines vs. turbocharged engines.

It's comments like these that make me have zero faith in the car enthusiast community anymore.

Engadget's back to school giveaway, part 3! {Engadget}

Sep 14th 2009 12:30PM I'm glad about 4000 of these comments are invalid because they were entered too early. Definitely gives me better chances at winning.

Beware the Scorpion! 2011 Ford Super Duty gets all-new 6.7-liter diesel V8 {Autoblog}

Aug 31st 2009 2:32AM You clearly don't know how a diesel works if you're asking if it's direct injection...

Audi 4.2-liter V8 could continue in S5 through 2011 and beyond {Autoblog}

Aug 26th 2009 4:35PM Likely? It does outperform the V8. It makes slightly less max horsepower, but makes a much beefier torque curve down low, and is lighter on top of that.

It would be noticeably quicker than the V8, along with being less nose heavy, so it should handle better as well. The V6 is much easier to modify for big power upgrades too. A simple ECU tune is already showing huge promise in the S4.

Zune 4.0 software won't play nice with HDTV Media Center recordings {Engadget}

Aug 14th 2009 6:21PM I'm waiting for a Zune phone to run an OS half as slick as this. Windows Mobile looks ridiculous compared to this.

EPA backs away from GM claim of 230 mpg for Volt {Autoblog}

Aug 11th 2009 8:11PM The whole argument is silly. Plain and simple, you can't measure a car in miles per gallon if one of its primary fuel sources isn't measured in gallons. The "230 mpg" claim is just more green hype they're hoping the public, the majority of which don't even understand why this argument is stupid, will buy into.

I'm still wondering how this car will "save families money." Isn't this car going to cost well over $40,000?

Zune HD video hands-on: chock-full of media edition {Engadget}

Aug 11th 2009 7:24PM You mean I'm not the only one still using S60 all the time?

...Yes, that was a stab at S60, despite me having multiple S60 phones.

If Windows Mobile had an interface half as smooth and slick as one of these, I'd just on board in a heart beat. Sadly, it's not even close right now.
