Jan 8th 2007 3:33PM Note the bit mentioned in the video. The IPTV would need to come from a service provider that could guarantee QoS. This isn't something that you can hook up to any standard cable modem service or DSL and expect quality of streaming full HD quality video. I see these boxes as something a Verizon FIOS or Comcast, etc rents to you and "for a fee" allows you to stream the IPTV. Then, how much is this service worth when you are already paying for with your cable service or dish?

Jan 8th 2007 2:25PM I hope that DTV has something better to announce than the bit about launching their new sats. We've been hearing about how DTV is going to have all of these new HD channels with these new sats for years now. The reality is if you don't launch the new sats until mid 2007, then the earliest you are going to be getting programming on these things is fall at the earliest. That while cable, FIOS, and Dish has already stocked up on plenty of HD..please.
I don't really care about watching professional gamers in HD.

Oct 25th 2006 6:03PM HP and Cingular should be embarassed by this. This phone is nothing new and is the same design HP has been hawking for years. Nothing new here other than GPS. HP had a chance to win big on phone devices, but they chose to stay with PDAs instead. No 3G this day and age, no sale.

Aug 30th 2006 9:37PM Other than processor, hsdpa, keyboard layout not much new here. The way Cingular is progressing with the HSDPA/3G rollout,Verizon and Sprint will have VGA devices with 1GB RAM, 2GHz processors, GPS, and EVDO Revision C by the time Cingular gets 3G out the door to most markets.
