Some iPhone 3GS orders set to be delivered tomorrow (Update: not likely) {Engadget}

Jun 16th 2009 5:46PM I have a work issued BlackBerry and a Gen 1 Phone that I've used for nearly 2 years now.

With the exception of MMS, which I've never missed but acknowledge might be nice, I think the iPhone wins in terms of overall use.

The messaging is very strong on the BB, better than the iPhone. I like the threading and the manageability of email, sms, pin and calls from one location. However that's where it stops for me. IMHO, the BB is slow, the browser is horrible beyond belief and I've not found a 3rd party app that I use for more than the 5 minutes it takes to install and launch it the first time. Contrast that with the iPhone with its excellent browser apps that are beyond cool and a consistent interface.

I preordered a 3Gs, it should be here Thursday. Go me.

Sprint posts Q3 net loss of $326 million, sees 1.3 million subs leave {Engadget}

Nov 7th 2008 1:17PM Actually, Verizon now has PTT that is as good as the IDEN network with regard to speed and quality. They run it over the EVDO network. They just need to add it to more devices.

iPhone gets tweaked Safari in firmware 2.2 {Engadget}

Sep 27th 2008 11:16PM I don't giveacrap either. Its just one of the things that WinMo owners can cling to since their browsers can suck a golf ball through a garden hose.

First Drive: 2009 Nissan Maxima {Autoblog}

Jun 22nd 2008 1:53PM Nah, the 3rd gen Maxima was the true owner of the 4DSC moniker and was a great car. The SE for 92-94 carried the pioneer (and oft quirky) VE engine that morphed into todays VQ series. DOHC and variable timing provided seemingly infinite top end performance all on a car that provided great handling and enough options to make Detroit a bit nervous.

Thanks in large part to increased impact standards, cars of today are heavier and carry higher belt lines than any time in recent history and it looks like the new Maxima is no exception. At least Nissan has worked on the sporty feel and brought the car a bit back toward its heritage.

I know there isn't a huge market for a manual, but it is a shame to see this car without the option.

iPhone contacts search and meeting invite revealed {Engadget}

Apr 9th 2008 12:53PM Thank god they put the contacts out on the home screen. That is one of the very few things that irritates me about my iPhone, hiding the contacts in the phone app simply sucks.

New York 2008: The Ute has landed! Live Reveal of the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}

Mar 19th 2008 1:49PM No manual? I was a potential buyer as I will be looking for a new DD about when that is available, but no manual, no purchase.

Is this Windows Mobile 7? {Engadget}

Jan 6th 2008 8:03PM Wow, the iPhone sure lit a fire under MS's rear to innovate for WinMo. The SP's that have been offered up as full versions look even more stale after seeing these few simple screen shots. I'm glad MS will have something to compete with the iPhone, not bad since it only took them 7 tries....
