Tips and tricks: Putting Things in your Dropbox makes syncing simple {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 11th 2009 5:57AM Yeah, this article makes syncing Things with Dropbox unnecessarily difficult...
It's really easy to sync Things, The Hit List, VoodooPad documents, 1Password keychains etc. using Dropbox:

iPhone 3GS users report slow or inconsistent Wi-Fi connections {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 8th 2009 10:07AM Wifi performance on the 3GS is greatly reduced if you have bluetooth on. Switching bluetooth off should restore performance.

Win a copy of Things for Mac and iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 7th 2009 3:30AM Twinkle is an iPhone twitter client with built-in location support and I've "met" quite a few people from the hundreds of other twinkle-users nearby through it already.

And it's a fairly obscure app, running on a hacked device that not that many people have to begin with. These sorts of apps will be huge...

Sling getting serious about the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 13th 2009 1:22PM It'll be interesting to see if Apple allows it to be used over 3G. The SDK terms prohibit excessive bandwidth use and this would also compete with Apple selling TV shows on iTunes.

Not that I can see why you would buy it though...

Oh gawd, Dell releasing Zing-based DJ Ditty in September? {Engadget}

Jul 30th 2008 2:22AM After the fiasko of their first attempt, I really don't see the point. Besides - in 2 years cellphones will own the music player market.

Jun 25th 2008 10:56AM To everyone complaining about the nails:

"We got better as we became accustomed to tapping with our fingernails (thumb presses don't work, it's not a capacitive touch screen)."

So it looks like this is a touchscreen that's designed to be used with a stylus... that's why nail taps work better than "finger presses".

Keep your iPhone from losing its cookies {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 25th 2008 8:59AM I'd guess it fixes permissions on the location the cookies are stored in... that's apparently a bug in 1.1.4.
