Aug 27th 2008 2:52PM Tivo is not really that much of an added expense, because (for me at least) leasing an HD-DVR from the cable company came out to over $15/month, vs. Tivo's $12.95/month + $1.50 for cablecard. So the only expense I guess is the device itself, which is VASTLY superior to any cable DVR. And you can bring it with you if you move and keep your content, AND it works with Verizon FIOS, so you have options.
