ASUS U / UX Series laptops hands-on {Engadget}
Mar 4th 2009 6:53AM Would love a few more details about these machines. In the last post you said they were 15.6" laptops but clearly from the gallery both the U and UX series are available in several sizes. I like the U series with the numeric keypad but if it's bigger then 15/16" it's a deal breaker because I actually take my laptop outside of my house. It looks from the pictures that the U with the num-pad is the biggest one in the series and that worries me a little because I have a VAIO FW series laptop and I like it, but miss the num-pad and don't want to go with a huge AW series. So if ASUS has made the U series about the same size as my FW but with a num-pad the FW is history.
Can you let us know please what the different sizes each line is available in and

Mar 3rd 2009 9:43PM It looks like ASUS really likes the Sony VAIO FW series 'cause their U series takes a large amount of inspiration from Sony' FW series.... But ASUS added the things Sony should have; like backlit keys, a number pad, and LED backlight

Once you start down the slope it's really easy to slide all the way down.
"In the name of the children" is used far to often to get people to hand over their rights. If you do just a little digging into what's actually going on in the world instead of what you read about you would learn that the children are just fine.

They usually foretell the next Casio that will land on Verizon - ie the G'zOne came out on LG Telecom as a CanU phone before it launched on Verizon. Plus, a new Exilim branded Casio passed through the FCC likely destined for Verizon. So this phone could foretell the new Verizon phone

Dec 17th 2008 8:50PM Really? Have you checked out many this year? My 6 month old Sony Vaio has an energystar badge on the front. The new one I bought for the girlfriend for Christmas also has one as did virtually every other laptop I was looking at this holiday season while shopping for the one I eventually settled on for her.
