I had no idea this was a remake before reading this article...

Bayonetta's PS3 and 360 iterations compared on video {Joystiq}

Oct 13th 2009 12:33PM I thought the difference was insignificant until that chunk near the end where hair witch was running toward a door. The PS3 version looked laughably bad. Odd that it stood out so much in that one bit.

Forza 3 offers exclusive DLC to those who buy new {Joystiq}

Oct 8th 2009 6:28PM copa: I wasn't going to buy this game new. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Forza. Forza 3 is pretty much my most anticipated game of this whole year. I was still going to buy it used, though, because I don't have a lot of money, and every dollar counts. But...FUCK, I can't pass up a '60 'Vette and the original (and most awesome) GT-R! Now I'm getting it new.

Interview: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer designer Todd Alderman {Joystiq}

Sep 21st 2009 8:24PM Space - true. Arkham Asylum co-op would have been pretty damn stupid...but CoD just SCREAMS for co-op. Hell, every time you start a MP game, the game says "stick together, we'll come out on top" or "UNITE UNDER ZE IRON COSS!" Having a friend who isn't a computer makes everything easier AND more fun in an FPS, especially an FPS like CoD.

No split-screen MP is pretty stupid, too. If Gears 2 can do it, MW2 can do it. It's not like I'm expecting them to go Halo and allow guests to play online,

Sep 21st 2009 8:19PM I think it's the other way around. My friend loves Halo 3, but he HATES Gears, and isn't too into CoD. Why? Because in Halo you can run around like a nut. Halo strategy (outside of upper level/clan play) goes something like "sight target, target sights you, run at each other until one of you is dead." Try that in CoD, you'll be dead in two bullets. Try that in Gears, you'll be down in two bullets, and then you don't have any respawns. I play Halo when I'm tired of trying, and I just want to goof around. I'm not saying everyone who plays Halo sucks at FPS's, but I know that when I play Halo, it takes a lot less skill than when I play CoD.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International lives up to its name {Joystiq}

Sep 17th 2009 12:21AM I don't care about the actual game, as RPGs in general and JRPGs specifically aren't my thing, but Star Ocean is a really cool phrase.

Review: The Beatles: Rock Band {Joystiq}

Sep 6th 2009 12:03AM I'm pretty sure Scooby Doo never used Beatles songs. Monkees, yes. Beatles, no.

It's good you're trying to figure out what they're all about, though. If you didn't like whatever it is you heard, try listening to something from a different era in their career. They changed styles pretty much every album after about 1965.

Review: The Beatles: Rock Band {Joystiq}

Sep 6th 2009 12:01AM Think about what rhythm games would be like without those backgrounds. Pretty boring, no?

Unless I'm playing Panic Attack (meaning, a song that's so stupidly hard that I have to completely focus on the highway), I can see the backgrounds pretty clearly. It's all in the peripherals.
