HTC Apache gets AKU 3.5 from the underworld {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 22nd 2007 7:33AM I have been running Helmi's Vanilla AKU 3.5 ROM from his kitchen for a week now and love it on my XV6700. It is really fast and I love the new apps. The smartdial problem has been fixed in some of the custom ROM's that people have created or you can just run the cab file for it or edit the registry to enable it. If you dont want to wait for VZW to get off their tails and release an "official" version I would definately get this upgrade over at ppcgeeks.com

Verizon's VCAST TV launch in detail {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 8th 2007 10:28AM I saw this phone in person the other day at our VZW '07 Kickoff all I gotta say is I wouldnt buy it. The darn thing is wayyyyy tooooo small! I could understand watching tv on my 6700 or maybe even a lg 8600 screen but that screen on there is itsy bitsy why bother putting espn on there all the players will look like little dots. hopefully whenever the LG 9400 finally gets released it will be a better screen.

AKU3 for Verizon's XV6700 WM5 device 'officially' going to be launched {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 6th 2007 10:48AM All I gotta say is its about darn time! I have been a little scared to run the AKE 3.3 update that has been ported to the Apache over at ppcgeeks.com so this will be very nice I just wish I didnt have to wait for it to come out. I want it now.

Verizon's HTC Apache, the XV6700, reviewed {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 10th 2006 6:54AM Well Verizon finally released the much anticipated update for the XV6700 and it by default now allows the wifi and phone function at the same time and fixes many other little things. All I can say is I love mine EVDO is awesome and fast!!! I cant wait for its replacement to come out and see how it could be any better. Vzw might cripple their phones but prices, coverage, and support top out over everyone! As far as the hacks go I can see not posting them in the review but thats what we are here for to leave comments letting people know how they can do what they want to really do on their phones.
