Michigan's governor wants drivers to slow it down {Green Daily}

Jul 8th 2008 4:29PM Time is worth something too. 55mph is not some magical number where maximum fuel efficiency will always be. This was caused by the mistake of having a nationwide speed limit of 55mph for way too long, and reporting fuel efficiency on new cars from tests at 55mph. Therefore, car engine designers adjusted car engines to perform with maximum efficiency at 55mph. Now that fuel efficiency tests are a little more in tune with how the general public wants to drive, car engine designers should be designing engines that have maximum efficiency at 70mph or maybe higher, then we could reduce travel time without burning through too much fuel.

New Zealand: when renewable energy hits a supply snag {Green Daily}

May 28th 2008 5:27PM The problem here is that too much emphasis is put on water as a renewable energy source, in fact water is probably the least reliable source especially considering the effects of climate change. The two much more viable means of renewable energy, the sun and wind, are much more reliable and when combined with energy storage when power output is greater than demand (such as storing water in a resevoir that we can get hydrological energy on demand from, or hydrogen gas made from water) can lead to a very stable energy supply. In fact, solar and wind power can be implemented at an individual home or business level, which reduces stress on the grid and power plants (even the hydrological kind).

Wii Warm Up: QWERTY {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

May 2nd 2008 9:36AM I am still looking for a good keyboard, what I want is a wireless keyboard (hopefully Bluetooth, I guess it would have to have a USB dongle on the Wii end, but it needs to be bluetooth b/c the Wii isn't in either of the rooms that I have the TVs in (I can discuss my setup more if anyone would like), and the keyboard would hopefully be white or maybe black (definately not off-white of any kind). Ideally it would be first party, white, Bluetooth and not need a dongle, but i think that is setting my expectations too high. I would like to hear which keyboards people are using with the Wii.
