Apr 2nd 2009 12:38PM In lieu of just "pick me" -- I thought I'd share an idea to "fix" the economic crisis here in the states. Actually, this isn't my own idea, it was in the local paper a couple of days ago from a reader who wrote in so I hope I get it right (the paper's gone & I can't remember his name). I'm sure there are a million things technically wrong with it but I liked it. Anyway, it goes like this - force everyone over 55 to retire (end of unemployment crisis as their jobs need to be filled), allow them access to their retirement 10 years early & give them $1 million bonus for doing so but require them to buy a home & car with a portion of it (gives the economy & real estate market an infusion of money). =) too simplistic?
