Fujitsu Raku-Raku F884i now available, sports upgraded voice recognition {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 22nd 2008 3:34AM I *just* saw a commercial for this and its roaming abilities as I read this article. Looks like a great phone.
Hands-on with the Sony Ericsson Z750a for AT&T {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 4th 2008 9:56AM I was wondering the same thing. It's hard to tell from the pics if that's just the hole where the camera normally goes or if it's actually a video call camera. It does sort of look like an empty hole, which wouldn't be surprising. There has to be something that sets the Z750a apart from the normal Z750; that may be it.
Microsoft Surface launching April 17th... with AT&T {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 2nd 2008 9:33AM Probably because the iPhone has such a worthless Bluetooth stack.

Mar 21st 2008 12:39PM I really wish we could get the English Premier League in HD and some Australian and New Zealand rugby

Mar 13th 2008 4:55PM UMTS 1800? That's gotta be a typo.
iPhone coming to Telstra, possibly in firmware 2.0 form {Engadget Mobile}
Mar 13th 2008 12:37PM I have to wonder if Telstra will be a launch customer for a 3G iPhone. Telstra's network is primarily HSDPA 850. Their GSM network only exists in cities. Telstra has been making a big deal about its NextG (HSDPA 850) network's speed and extensive coverage. They'd be put in tough spot to have to say the iPhone only works on our GSM network, not the network we've been trumpeting as the greatest thing since indoor plubming. Telstra also operates a join UMTS 2100 network with 3. One could go out on a limb and say it only makes sense for Telstra to be a launch customer for a quadband GSM + triband HSDPA iPhone. Time will tell as always.
AT&T offers SIM-only service, attempts to maintain "most open" status {Engadget Mobile}
Jan 21st 2008 11:37AM I this this article is incorrect, incomplete, or pointing out something trivial. I signed up for service back in November and brought my SE K850 and didn't get a phone, just a SIM. I was forced into a two year contract (don't even get me started on how absurd that is).
Alex, do you think I'd be able to get my contract reduced to a one-year sentence now that this is out?
Xbox Live "up and running," now with no caveats. {Engadget}
Dec 30th 2007 2:19PM Same here. I've been trying to recover it for 3 days now. I feel that a month of free service is definitely in order. I just dropped over $500 on an Xbox, Halo, extra controller, charger, and Live. I've been able to use it for about two hours since I got it thanks to the complete failure of Microsoft and Live.
Presidential candidates finally address important issue: their gadgets {Engadget}
Dec 19th 2007 12:57PM Being a GSM or CDMA user is pretty important. If you're a GSM user, you support freedom and disdain "big brother" telling you what you can and can't do. You're not a follower; you use whatever device you like best and that best fits your needs and personality.
CDMA users want big government. They want to be told what to do and are content with mediocrity.
Hyatt's Plug Panel opens new world of connectivity to 42-inch HDTV {Engadget HD}
Dec 19th 2007 12:46PM The Pan Pacific hotel in Singapore also caters to the HD junkies. Every room has an HDTV and they even provide all sorts of cables for connecting your laptop or whatever to the TV. Component, Mini DVI -> DVI, DVI -> HDMI, audio, whatever. It's all there.
