Oct 19th 2008 3:24PM gas cars and diesel cars both DO produce soot, just on a (hopefully) low level.
HC+CO+Soot+NOx = internal combustion engine emissions

First plug-in Priuses to hit fleets next year {Engadget}
Aug 31st 2008 1:17PM by the way, i SERIOUSLY want to tell you, electricity is NOT a fuel, it is an ENERGY CARRIER, along with hydrogen. "fuel" can be stock energy, including oil, coal, etc.

petrol/diesel engines are VERY EFFICIENT? stop talking buddy, average efficiency of an internal combustion engine on roads is around 20-25%, and no higher than 35-40% on all ideal conditions. water? sorry we tried that in the 1870s already with something called the steam engine. co2? sorry we're actually trying to get rid of that since we're making too much of it and we're killing all the polar bears with it. methane gas? it's certainly combustible, but it would require completely new infrastructures just to power vehicles with that kind of fuel and for right now, using ethanol spraying methods to cool the engine down and increase compression ratio/downsize engine/add bigger turbo/advance spark timing/etcetc is the most cost efficient way to move forward with an internal combustion engine.
Radio Shack ad confirms Xbox 360 price cuts? {Engadget}
Aug 21st 2008 12:23AM I'm going to hold out for Jasper no matter how far the price drops, I'm seriously sick of hearing other people crying about RRoD, and no, I don't care if yours didn't break at all since day 1. I'm not going to shell out $400 to be worried about my xbox overheating.

Aug 17th 2008 8:06PM um, the simplest way i can explain this is to use torque, a pretty simple concept if you have a definitive pivot point.
Torque = (distance from pivot point) x (force applied)
if there is more mass towards the top of the object, it will require more force to torque the object and make it fall over since everyone knows F=ma. if there is less mass towards the top, it will require less force to torque the object and therefore will make it easier for an object to fall over.
iPhone experiencing GPS problems after 2.0.1 update? {Engadget}
Aug 11th 2008 4:33PM well, the 2.0.1 update screwed up the locator on the maps application for my ipod touch. i cant even locate my own house now, although if i just sit there playing around with it for 5 hours just pressing the little blue button over and over again it just might work. seriously, i hate this crap, the keyboard is STILL laggier than 1.1.5 btw, and still overall less smooth.
Mitsubishi's i MiEV electric car to be tested in California {Engadget}
Aug 8th 2008 9:26AM so you're basically saying friction, air resistance, and heat loss never existed? that would make everything a whole lot easier for people especially with gas @ $4+ a gallon....
Carmack says iPhone is "more powerful than a Nintendo DS and PSP combined" {Engadget}
Aug 1st 2008 4:52PM hahaha if he admits that the iphone is "graphically limited" than how is it more powerful at all? he's trying to compare it to gaming systems that have their main focus on graphical power....
i would liek to see the iphone run halo 2 as smoothly as the original xbox does... or gta san andreas...or far cry...
