Windows Mobile 6.1 update for HTC TyTN II now extra official {Engadget Mobile}

May 26th 2008 4:11PM The (very blurry!) little image I got to see on the HTC site showed lower/older version numbers than I see on my WM6 TyTN II in Settings! Creepy... Until I get to see positive feedback from people who have installed this update without problems and not seen any problems reported, I'm not touching this with 10 km pole I'm afraid.

Nokia's aeon "full surface screen" cellphone concept {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 10th 2006 11:02AM I browsed the linked site and found the following under Events. Looks like the PDF containing the slides of some presentation that mentioned/showed this prototype and a lot more Nokia (wants to have/has) up its sleeves.

Sony Ericsson and Fossil team up for Bluetooth watch {Engadget}

Oct 10th 2006 3:39AM Eh... no. It's bluetooth. GSM has "nothing" to do with. ;-)

Sony Ericsson and Fossil team up for Bluetooth watch {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2006 10:59AM I say! I have a Casio WaveCeptor watch now that is always on time (and switches daylight saving time automatically, even though it has an analog watch face). Would be enough for me if the watch would sync with my phone over bluetooth and I only need to keep that in sync with actual time. Which I could easily do over the 'net instead of having the watch listen to radio transmitted atomic clock ticks.

Engadget done right for your cellphone! {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2006 8:00AM Same here for the Siemens S65 (http://www.benq-siemens.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_130780_0_sub%253A130312_cat%253A130352_filt%253Adeviceconnectivity4_view%253Aabout_spec%253A0_ab%253A0_clr%253A0_clrNum%253A1,00.html) built in browser (OpenWave 7), except that when reading an article the title caption is bright red and VERY VERY BIG, which is annoying.

It does seem to work fine in Opera Mini java client on this phone. But then again, the original site did that in Opera Mini and I still get to see that instead of minimalistic WAP formated version right now.

Nabaztag gets a smarter sib, meet Nabaztag/tag {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2006 3:40AM And I wonder: does it finally do more than just open Wifi and WEP, or is it still useless for me if I wanted to use one at my house...?

Nissan prepping "intelligent" transportation safety system {Engadget}

Sep 18th 2006 6:37AM My current navigation system warns me if I'm going faster than the speed that is stored on the mpa CD for the road I'm on. Not perfect, but I actually like it. Stuff like this Nissan proposed system and the systems Siemens is working on (among other things: reading road signs to get a better accurate picture of current road speed conditions and warning you if you go over them) actually seem like not such a bad idea. Provided you can turn them off if you don't want to that information. I agree with you that a lot of drivers would probably hate it...
