Sprint's Airave signal booster in the wild, on sale nationwide this month? {Engadget}
Jul 1st 2008 1:51PM If you read what he said, he said he moved. Same with me. I moved somewhere and the coverage is terrible in my apartment, but I'm screwed because Sprint CLAIMS to have coverage and I'm past my 30 day period.

Jun 28th 2008 9:40AM I'm fairly certain my rate would go UP with a device like this, haha.

For this: Windows 95.
The Bill Day giveaway (part 4) - Windows Vista Ultimate {Engadget}
Jun 27th 2008 8:33PM It's hard to name just one, but I'd say 95 or XP.
Windows 95 finally put a decent GUI on a system and allowed anybody to be able to use a computer. 95 shaped the future for all Windows OSes to this very day.
Then of course XP. The value of XP gets lost, which in my mind, only proves how amazing it was. Mom and Dad may think it's a prettier version of 9x, but we all know what a profound impact it brought by moving the consumer version of Windows to the NT kernel. No longer were you required to reboot your computer or deal with constant issues or crashes.
But then of course that's just your mainstream software. I could go into development and how incredible Visual Studio has become, or SQL Server, or any number of other applications. Or how Windows Server has become one of the fastest and most stable server OSes, not to mention a dream to work with. And then of course there's the 360 on the gaming side.
It really takes being in the computer industry, and even more so being an MS partner and reseller to really realize how absolutely gigantic MS has become. They really have software for everything.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 hands-on, sorta {Engadget}
Jun 26th 2008 9:16AM I hate to say it, but I'm less impressed each time I see this. I'm much more excited for the Touch Pro. I understand it's not completely finished yet, but the exterior doesn't even look good compared to the new HTCs.
Official Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM for Sprint Mogul leaks out {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 25th 2008 11:46PM @Churma:
I wish it were this simple. However, you apparently can't flash the bootloader from SD. I spent hours the other day trying to update my phone past where I am, however, I'm stuck with a 1.x version of olipro's bootloader. This was a phone that I stopped using around December when it was replaced with a new one, and now that the new one just died too, I'm back to this one again until I get another new one.
The only thing holding me back is the bootloader. Everything else, radio, OS, etc can flash from SD, but not a bootloader. :(
