Samsung SCH-W559 touts vibrating VibeTonz touchscreen {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 25th 2007 9:48AM Seems to me that everyone is overlooking the fairly exceptional and way ahead of their time Moto A1000, A1010 and M1010 (FOMA) models. All have complete touch screens using the Symbian UIQ interface and all have force feedback to provide a tactile response so that dialing the device feels similar to dialing a device that has a keypad.

Incidentally this type of technology is actually known as haptic technology for those wondering what the propeller-head terminology might be...

Cook breakfast with your MacBook {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 25th 2006 11:12AM In response to #10 allowing the user control the ratio of noise to hear, there's a program called "Centrino Hardware Control" that runs on PC's with .net framework installed that among other things allows you to do exactly that. Other functions include harddrive acoustic control, overclocking and more. I've used it on a number of PC's and havent blown one up yet...

Maybe it could be modified to run on a Mac? And no, I have no relationship, financial or otherwise to the developer of this software. In fact, I don't even know his name.
