Archos Android Phone Tablet introduced on video {Engadget}

Sep 26th 2009 7:14AM 1. It doesn't really matter to most of those who would have bought this anymore.

2. Why? On the 25th of September 2009, the year of our Lord, Google just shut down @Cyanogen with a cease and desist order. As one of the leading ROM optimizers and developers which saved Android's consumer opinion enough to actually sway consumers away from other platforms based on the word of mouth of those with his modified ROM builds, they shattered the trust of the developer and fanatical user base at large.

I'm really very sorry if this is way off topic, but having personally convinced others to go to Android devices because of the totally Open Source promises only to have Google pull this on someone who's only generated positive "Goodwill" on their fiscal balance sheet is a smack in the face. I just can't get excited when I've got people breathing down my throat about how they may have wasted their money on 2 years of false promises and bait-&-switch policy.

Sep 25th 2009 1:32AM This is what I've been thinking for awhile... Microsoft would've given him options and his own dev team by now...

FCC queries AT&T, Apple on Google Voice iPhone app rejection {Engadget}

Aug 2nd 2009 2:48AM Why in the hell is denying applications for any reason other than MALICIOUS code or content right? I swear people with Apple devices don't understand why the rest of the world thinks- not scratch that, KNOWS they are crazy for consenting to being controlled by corporations.

You are not being protected, you are being neglected... take the Red Pill and get out of the Matrix already!

FCC queries AT&T, Apple on Google Voice iPhone app rejection {Engadget}

Aug 2nd 2009 2:38AM Maybe the FCC could submit an app that superior to and duplicates one or several "ingenious Apple Inventions/Functions" (choking on bull excrement), have it rejected and then throw it right back in Apple's face-palmed faces...

T-Mobile announces HTC Touch Pro2 for August 12 availability {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 29th 2009 5:06AM Thank you Captain Obvious- you can put your cape away now.

BTW- recent speed tests showed T-mobile being second to Verizon, and almost doubling AT&T's 3G speeds.

Go, read, enjoy.

Microsoft Store concept revealed in leaked design presentation? {Engadget}

Jul 25th 2009 6:14AM Hate to burst your bubble, but Windows 7 actually has lower system requires. But it's not like you build your own Apple or anything, and not that they'd ever let you- remember Psystar?

Microsoft Store concept revealed in leaked design presentation? {Engadget}

Jul 25th 2009 6:09AM That is all you get at the Apple store... naive/unknowing people who buy products because someone spends 5 minutes showing them how to use it and they gleefully spend much more than they needed to in the first place.

The same people who buy brand new cars every four years because "that way I don't have to pay for maintenance" buy every new Apple product when it's available. God forbid you run Windows, use the same CD key for eight years and upgrade only the components you need to at that time to have an up to date system.

Apple is a horrible company with an excellent business model- settle on 70% of the usability consumer requires, accept marginal hardware from suppliers, and product test as little as possible to get product sold. Repeat process on an annual basis, and add 2-5% more usability with 25% price inflation of original product. Save on costs by forcing consumer to send in faulty equipment and charge to have it returned if it is faulty and convince consumer to purchase new model.

Sustainable for Apple, unfair and shitty for the consumer. It's been that way for going on 30 years, and it will never change.

Go Microsoft, now I can actually talk to someone who will be trained on software and not trying to sell me a new computer every time I need a new application. And kudos for making more jobs in the middle of a recession.

Jul 25th 2009 5:32AM Everyone here is a blithering idiot for forgetting what else is going on here. It's a little company called "Google". They are putting pressure on Microsoft AND Apple...

And I'm done. I've got better things to do than live my life blogging for a company I don't even work for 24/7/365.25

Seriously- some of you need to find something/someone else to care this much about.

Hackers scoffing at iPhone 3GS' hardware encryption {Engadget}

Jul 24th 2009 5:53AM "Sad Losers" like the police, FBI, CIA, Army, Homeland Security...

Yeah- all sad losers. You'd never want them figuring out how to get data off your phone if you or someone you know is missing or endangered. And why do you think it took so long for Obama to get a new phone? It needed to be -secure- because the information on his phone -is important- and it there is alot more to lose than simply inviting everyone to your "I lost my phone!" event from your YouTwitFace account.
