Ask Engadget: a device to stream audio from one device to multiple sources? {Engadget}

Oct 22nd 2009 10:27PM If it's music (and now even photos) you'd like to stream to other devices, such as a smart phone, another computer, PS3 or an iPod Touch then I would highly recommend checking out Simplify Media. I stream my media from my home iMac with iTunes to my work PC (running Vista), my iPhone and my friends' computers which run Windows and OS X. Needless to say, but it's not just Apple-oriented-- It works with Windows Media Player, Windows-based PCs and Ubuntu-based PCs.

News apps! Get your News apps! {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 29th 2009 11:12AM What about NewsPro from Thomson Reuters? No political lean or sensationalism with Reuters! That one is so easy to use, snappy and works in "offline" mode, so I can keep browsing the news in the subway.

Reader's unibody MacBook Pro catches fire! {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 20th 2009 1:37PM I know this is off subject, but what is the difference between a "blog" and a "weblog"? Aren't all blogs found online-- meaning weblog is a little redundant? Just curious!

Etymotic hf2 Custom Fit buds bundle ACS' customized ear-mould service {Engadget}

Apr 24th 2009 10:18AM I'm right there with you-- people don't know how much damage is happening to their ears while riding the CTA. Sometimes I just put my Etys in for the noise isolation, because it looks less crazy than wearing ear plugs while riding the train.

New Apple Store at North and Clybourne in Chicago {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 15th 2009 11:46AM I'm glad there'll be an Apple store closer to where I live. I'm tired of dealing with the slow, fat suburbanites that are in my way when I want to walk down the sidewalk. Call me bitter but it's annoying!

Snagged from the Chicagoist online blog:

"Bill Smith, a principal developer with Chicago-based Smithfield Properties LLC, told Crain's the decision makes sense given the buying power of the North & Clybourn location over State St.: 'The Loop is playing to a slightly lower socio-economic group than North and Clybourn. Look at the demographics of Lincoln Park.'"
