Nokia N900 is now shipping! {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 10th 2009 10:46AM This will NOT generate mass market appeal, at least I don't think so, based on the fact that it's a landscape orientation only phone, and it's size isn't exactly thin, which apparently is in. Otherwise it's missing the same things the iPhone was missing, that apparently didn't bother enough people to stop them from buying it, except me. You know... MMS, no calling buttons, no equalizers in the music player, and no voice dialing among other things. So, maybe I'm the only one who won't buy something like this purely for those reasons, and millions will flock to this device as well. I wonder how many people will dump their N97 for this...

LTE Connected Car redefines the 'mobile' in mobile broadband (video) {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 6th 2009 9:47AM Could they pick a stupider car that this?? Why not a Camaro SS or Mustang GT500 or a Lincoln MKS?

AT&T sues Verizon over 'there's a map for that' ads {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 3rd 2009 6:06PM There are a lot of ingorant and naive people in this country who would believe Verizon is talking about voice service. So I do see where AT&T is coming from. Still, this is funny. Their 3G coverage does need a lot of work.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 announced, we go hands-on {Engadget}

Nov 2nd 2009 11:37PM What's with all these Android devices not having anything over 8GB of built in memory?

Adobe engages Apple in passive aggressive warfare with iPhone's Flash message {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 2nd 2009 4:13PM Lol, I love it. See, Adobe knows that the power lies in the people themselves. But Apple must seriously not give a rats ass if it's iPhone can show flash content. And why would it? It's not like people are lining up against them saying we're not going to buy your product until you bring Flash on board. I hope Apple doesn't do anything. I really enjoy when my friends can't see a website, and they ask me to look it up. Need a phone that shows flash content? I've got an N97 for that.

T-Mobile nabs HTC's Touch HD2, schedules release for November {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 2nd 2009 9:38AM So is it the real HD2 or are they releasing the old one and calling it the new one?

Motorola DROID review {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2009 7:45PM Almost forgot. This keyboard reminds me of the N97's. Did you guys find that it was very similar to that in terms of feel and clickiness or lack there of?

Motorola DROID review {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2009 7:44PM How was the hardware in terms of build quality?? What is it made out of on the back and on the front. We know it has a glass display, but what about everything else? Does the battery cover creak at all when you push on any part of it? Does the battery cover feel like it's snug and snapped into place, and its not going to fall out? It looks like it's not held in by anything from the video's I've seen of this.

Nokia said to be launching smartphone with AT&T, Snapdragon ahoy? {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 30th 2009 2:10PM Maybe I should have read the article first. Looks like it will be Symbian. You know, I thought with Apple showing that a phone manufacturer (albeit one just getting into it) can lay down the law with the overly controlling carriers, that maybe, that would open the door for others to follow suit with unbranded phones locked to the network being sold through AT&T on contract. Especially manufacturers like Nokia who have been around for a long time. I admire Nokia for holding out this long. Some may call it stupidity, but I think it shows a backbone. Nokia knows the consumers here will never truly know what their smartphones can do if AT&T is going to keep changing them. Don't get me wrong, Nokia should work with them on S40 devices, and push devices already designed and sold in Europe. A lot of them would have done great here. I'm thinking that the 6500 Slide would have performed just as well as the LG Shine. But as far as smartphones, I wouldn't budge unless AT&T agreed to loosen the grip it has. Then they could have things like the N900, N86, and E72. I think Nokia's only hope for that though is for the consumers here to wake up, open their eyes to what's really out there, and hammer the carriers to give it to them, without all their branding on it. I'm interested to see what Nokia and AT&T are cooking up here.

Oct 30th 2009 1:47PM Not that I believe this is going to happen, but if it does, it better run Symbian dammit. Maybe Maemo if they give it all the things it's missing. And hold the overdone AT&T branding please. Thanks.
