Nov 11th 2009 3:13PM QUOTE - "So if the OS is "clunky and geeky as hell" wouldn't you say it is wise that they only market the phone to the "geeky as hell" crowd?"

Yes. I would agree. So they are infinitely wise in creating a product that only appeals the .05% of society...and marketing to them in $100m ad campaign..

Good job Google/Verizon/Motorola. You have a great product which will seize huge amounts of market share.

First Storm 2 ad huffs and puffs for attention (video) {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 29th 2009 6:17PM I played with the storm 2 today and it is JUST AS BAD as the first. Let me clarify that I am not just taking a crack at the device. I wanted to love it.

I spent 5 minutes with and and the fact that the screen still depress nearly 1/2 a millimeter every time you want to trigger a character or press a button is annoying. This coupled with the mechanical clicking noise (not from a speaker but from the mechanics of the screen pressing a button) is painful. It would make the same sound if you removed the speaker - its mechanics)

Sorry - just being honest but I don't need a screen to depress and click to let me know I made an entry. I have tactile nerve endings on the tips of my fingers. I now if I am in contact with a surface.

Oct 20th 2009 9:29AM One last thing then I will shut up about it. It's preloaded with a multimedia presentation about the car. Nothing you can't see on the web, but it's there - like a digital brochure.

This content is delete-able so you can have the entire 1GB capacity back after you are done watching the presentation.
