Garmin nuvifone G60 officially coming to AT&T: October 4th for $299 {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 29th 2009 8:16PM No phone has GPS like this one. The GPS fix on it is WAY faster and more reliable. It's Garmin, the phone is based around the GPS. If you like getting movie times, weather, and directions very quickly, this is the phone you're looking for. As to all the comments above about the phone's lateness, it was their first phone and they had NO idea how much there really was to it. The fact that it DID come out and IS a slick phone is what's impressive. You personally may be over the fact that it's around, but the release of this phone is the start of a platform that is pretty interesting and new.

California girl claims to have burned through over 300,000 texts in a single month {Engadget Mobile}
May 7th 2009 8:52PM I wonder how many of those texts were actually opened. I would be willing to bet that she just told everyone in her whole school to text the crap out of her phone. There's no way that many texts can be fit around school, work, taking a shower, and walking. There's no way to read and reply to that many texts. I think anyone who legitimately does over 5,000 is seriously cutting into their life with texting. A guy in my high school literally texted all throughout class, went home and texted tons at home got about 10k texts and hardly did anything else.

Jan 27th 2009 12:27PM Specs for dimensions match up almost perfectly to my n82, it.s .2 wider...that too makes me wonder about battery life. Especially after many charges and the overall battery life decreases. The idea is still sweet regardless. Maybe it will end up being even more reason for developing a new battery source. In the meantime i guess it wouldn't be terrible that you may have to plug it in near the end of the movie, but that kinda defeats the purpose.
RIM CEO: Buggy smartphone software is the "new reality" {Engadget Mobile}
Jan 26th 2009 12:53PM it's sad that companies are so eager to get the phone out there and make money off it that they don't fully test it and make sure things work well before they release. I guess i just need to not let the hype get to me and wait several months before buying a phone as mentioned above
National Safety Council calls for nationwide ban on cellphone use while driving {Engadget}
Jan 13th 2009 2:31PM It's not a terrible idea, i just wonder if it does get passed how they will enforce it. Like will they try and come up with some cell phone jammer for inside your car, or will a cop just see you on your phone and pull you over. If it is the later, fine by me, i will just drive with my phone on speaker phone and theres no way a cop can tell whether i was singing to music or on the phone. I'm willing to forego the ability to hold my phone up to my ear to make the roads safer. It is possible to hold a conversation on the phone if you make driving the priority and talking on the phone a second. However, there are a lot of people who suck at doing this and cause wrecks.
Magnetic / detachable lenses suddenly make cellphone cameras fun {Engadget Mobile}
Dec 31st 2008 1:16AM i guess it would be a good option some time in the future. Since having a seriously sweet camera in a phone is only marketable to a certain group, they could sell a phone with a crappier lense and we could upgrade it later....but i think this would probably lead to just paying more money out in the long run.
