Paid apps appear in Android Market {Engadget}

Feb 20th 2009 7:34PM Those who have paid apps now appearing please remove your sim and check again. I only show them when my tmo sim is inserted, not with it out though online via wifi. Folks who are not seeing paid apps in Market, are you on tmo or using dev 1s on other carriers?

Feb 20th 2009 7:04PM Got it now. No filter for paid/unpaid. Messy is my first thought. Might buy DoggCatcher, but inconsistent playback of video still an issue. I'll probably stick with my yellowsn0wed iPhone until TMo gives me some Cupcake.

Google implemented remote kill switch in Android, those rascals {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 16th 2008 11:03AM This is an Apple vs oranges argument. Google will allow non-Market applications to be installed with the tick of a box, whereas with the iPhone you need to jailbreak or you are restricted to the App store. Google is only reserving the right to protect its less-savvy users within the Market but it also allows enthusiasts to do whatever they want. Not evil.
