Storm 2 hitting Verizon with 'MiFi capability?' {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 18th 2009 9:09PM That isn't for broadcasting Wi-Fi, they're just going to be advertising that you can connect it to your Mi-Fi device (for simultaneous voice/data). That's all.

HTC Touch Pro2 graces Verizon on September 11 {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 4th 2009 8:48PM Just wanted to correct that and say that it's got more than just EDGE on there, check the top left corner. UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA

Verizon's Samsung Saga shows its face, as anticipated {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 14th 2008 2:59PM You won't be able to pick one up in store on Dec 1st, either. It'll be warehouse shipping only. No in-store date has been announced.

WiFi certification: pretty strong evidence Verizon's Omnia is WiFi-equipped {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 29th 2008 6:50PM oh well is telling the truth, whether you agree with it or not. I don't have the source document as I didn't receive it, I just read it. Don't expect any new PDA/smartphones until this comes to pass either.

And why wouldn't they? RIM and Apple have been hugely successful despite this requirement. Clearly people will pay if they have to. Furthermore, Omnia sales could cannibalize Storm sales and result in less valuable contracts.

Either way, it WILL happen. Don't say you weren't forewarned.

AT&T DataConnect overage: $480 per gigabyte {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 4th 2008 7:39PM This type of product is not designed for anyone who's seriously going to be using more than 5GB's a month. Consider an alternative. It's not anti-consumerist, it's anti-abusive use of a service.
