BlackBerry Storm sells out hard and fast {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 22nd 2008 1:54AM BGR has an interesting take on the Storm debut and OS versions. With the multiple layers of stickers, it looks like there was some downgrading going on.

LG Incite release imminent on AT&T {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 18th 2008 12:27AM That phone looks pretty fugly. I agree with the others ... too much metal on it. It looks like a very bad imitation of the Omnia.

I'm holding out for Black Friday to upgrade ... hoping for a better deal like last year. Leaning toward the Fuze but the Epix isn't ruled out. This thing would have to be stellar for me to buy it.

And if it has a 3" screen ... it's gonna be huge.

Samsung's T*Omnia: all that and double the i900 Omnia's resolution {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 3rd 2008 10:26AM Great development ... Samsung should have included this in the beginning though.

I'd buy it unlocked if it had triband 3G.

Oct 21st 2008 11:09PM It was on Premier for me today ... $99 after rebate on a 1 year contract.

No Omnia love for us for the foreseeable future.

Samsung Omnia passes FCC with North American 3G, for real this time? {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 6th 2008 11:59PM Fired it off the FCC document to a friend of mine that's fluent in Korean. Hopefully, he can tell me if there's in anything interesting in all that Korean.

Samsung Omnia passes FCC with North American 3G, for real this time? {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 6th 2008 10:32PM I'm guessing this looks like it's destined for the Latin market, hence the L moniker. Looking on the page here: https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=1011929&native_or_pdf=pdf

you'll notice that everything on the label is in Spanish first and English second. Also that the first page has LTN on it which seems to support that. Good thing from the site is that it does have NAM 3G frequencies, so it should work in the US. My only concern is that it will be a Spanish only ROM and an English one would have to be cooked to work. However, it's possible that it may have English on it already and would just have to be switched. Should be interesting to see. Even if it doesn't come to a US carrier, it looks promising that we could get one that would work here.

Motorola Q11 shows up in Brazil's regulatory red tape {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 1st 2008 10:31AM According to a guy I know living in Brazil, 3G isn't very widely deployed in Brazil yet. So this may be a way to get a smartphone into the hands of the people down there without the expense of adding 3G to it.
