AT&T Pure now on sale -- with Windows Mobile 6.5 {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 4th 2009 11:00PM Most reliable network: Depending upon where you live. Where I live and use my phone AT&T beats Verizon. I've had AT&T (new and old), Verizon (current + Alltel), T-Mobile (twice), Sprint and Nextel (twice again) and always end up back at AT&T.

3.5mm headset port: Yes, doesn't have it but does come with adapter - not as good as straight port but better than nothing.

Oct 2nd 2008 10:53PM Regarding the comment in the review that the Samsung SWC-E100 XOHM WiMAX ExpressCard that it doesn't have an external antenna port: We had a chance to play with the unit (as well as ZyXEL's Xohm MAX-206M2) and there is indeed an external antenna port: see http://blog.wpsantennas.com/2008/10/xohm-wimax-external-booster-antennas.html

HTC's US Touch Diamond now shipping from Best Buy {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 19th 2008 10:06PM My thoughts exactly, might be a little more at Best Buy but it is nice being able to run into the store, pick it up, and return it (if need be) without a restocking fee. That being said, one person over at XDA was able to get BB to match Mobile City. I didn't - but I didn't try, either.

HTC's US Touch Diamond now shipping from Best Buy {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 19th 2008 10:03PM Yeah, they are pretty lenient when saying "most stores". The only store I've seen (using their website) that has had the phone has been one of the two in my town. Same thing when they got the Dual - we had it right away. I don't know how we've been so fortunate here but I'm doing my part to make sure they keep 'em coming.

Now, the freezer I wanted they didn't have last month. I'll get over it as long as the keep the phones in town . . .

HTC's US Touch Diamond now shipping from Best Buy {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 19th 2008 9:16PM I'd call it matte black. I'd be more descriptive but I already returned mine (I bought it at a local Best Buy last night.) I really wanted to keep it but the TF3D sluggishness was more than I could handle. Really loved the display . . .

Best Buy preps unlocked Touch Diamond for retail {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 19th 2008 9:17AM Picked mine up at Best Buy yesterday - sweet phone but seems dog slow and a little buggy. Played around with several of the known performance tweaks and they helped some but definately not perfect. More memory and a faster processor would have been a big help. I bought the Touch Dual from Best Buy in May and the performance was great - the Diamond is clearly slower but does have some features that are much nicer than the Dual. Decisions, decisions . . .
