Mysterious new Nokia touchscreen interface and handset unveiled (sort of) {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 9th 2008 5:41AM Hmmm, might we possibly be seeing the first strains of Symbian Foundation? As it says in the link below, it's not that Symbian-y, so it could be intriguing...

Vertu's Signature S Design gets handled -- gently {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 11th 2008 12:02PM So, that works out at just over £7000, and it's a bog standard Nokia in a fancy hat. Just think of what you could buy instead, like a phone (that does the same without being made of jewellery) and 10937 Star Bars...

(And yes, i was sad enough to sit down and work out how many Star Bars you could get with the price of the phone: http://www.mobileshop.com/blog/mobile-phone-news/super-luxury-mobile-phones-you-dont-want-the-vertu-signature-s-design/)

Nov 7th 2008 5:18AM Well, I would've managed it, except my PC exploded, so I needed to use IM on my phone.

Otherwise I would've managed it.

Honest.

I would.

Well, alright, maybe not, I was getting withdrawal...

Aussie sez he'll produce a $199 Android phone by December 15th {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 7th 2008 5:12AM Well, if it's cheap he's going for (about £84 at current exchange rates), he's going to have competition from Hop-on, who also reckon they're gonna make a cheap'n. Although, Rogan's does looks cheaper...

Question is, though, will it LOOK cheaper, if you get my drift? Basically, if he's going to someone to ODM, is it, in fact, going to be rubbish...?

Still, it'll probably be nicer than the G1...

IMMI tracks ad exposure / effectiveness via cellphone, trips privacy alarms everywhere {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 22nd 2008 9:22AM Hmmmm, not in itself a grounds for getting the tin foil hat on (although it still sounds a little... what's the word... surveillancey), but I'd be willing to bet any money it gets co-opted by the UK goverment, to use with their register on mobile phone owners.

Here, this explains it more eloqyently than I've managed so far:

Mark my words!

Sep 12th 2008 9:10AM Well, I've thrown my hat into the ring with this blog post, and urged our readers to do the same:

I'll give it a try, it could be a giggle, but I really rather strongly doubt I'll last past 3 and a half hours...

Probably a good idea if don't sell my smartphone JUST yet, then...
