May 13th 2009 1:21AM So... what they are saying is that apple has only 1 laptop?
And I think they're missing a few hundred PC's, none of those guys looked like the one I bought.

"but e-books seem to be very expensive for what they are" - I meant to say "e-readers seem to be very expensive for what they are"
Ask Engadget: What's the best e-book reader? {Engadget}
Oct 9th 2008 11:59PM I've been interested in getting an e-reader and using e-books for a long time, but e-books seem to be very expensive for what they are, and then theres the issue of all the different formats that ebooks can come in.
Due to that, touch phones like iPhone/TouchHD/G1 make more sense, where you can get programs that can read different formats of ebooks (not as easily as a proper e-reader, but damn convenient nonetheless). Easy to scroll around the pages too with the touch screen.

Oct 9th 2008 8:30AM Zen, mate, try using some hard enters/returns every now and then, reading that sh!t hurts my eyes, and my mouse wanders to that red negative sign of its own accord!
Motorola's Q11 gets official: WinMo 6.1, WiFi, 3MP camera {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 8th 2008 8:05PM This looks like the ugliest, most useless device i've seen to date. What is it's purpose and who is the target market?
This is easily outdone by existing HTC's and Blackberry's (that don't look as though the buttons have been thrown into wherever they fit, BB Bold for example manages to have all these buttons and not look over cluttered??).
I just can't see what the target market for this device is, especially considering it lacks 3G (not to mention the fact that someone slipped while photoshopping the design and accidently put the screen offset to one side).
Is ASUS prepping a 5-megapixel Omnia challenger? {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 14th 2008 8:06PM Or better yet, have it come with Android (or support for Android when it's out).
I too am the only one in my circle of friends that buys his phone outright and unlocked (in Aus), and so my next phone really needs to offer me a lot for me to buy it. WinMo doesn't really cut it for me with GUI friendliness.
EA's Crysis Warhead PC can, uh, play Crysis {Engadget}
Sep 9th 2008 9:33PM The same thing occured to me. The specs of this system are equal to that of my 1 year old PC which runs it in medium-high settings. This article gives me the feeling that Crytek aren't making this game to be as graphically powerful as it could be.

Sep 9th 2008 9:24PM So if I hook a monitor up to this and run it at 2560x1600 res then I'm going to get 30fps?
I think they've left out some key information in regards to this claim, like what resolution and graphics settings.
If they're given that information in the read links then forgive me because I never visit them.
