Anyway, aren't their product names heaps smaller now anyway? Radeon HD4890. Geforce GTX 295. Heck of a lot simpler than the previous Geforce 8xxx GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra combinations.
And I think ATI started calling their cards HD when they added audio to them, but I could be wrong *shrugs*

Thats what Palm was doing, until Apple decided to block to block it from connecting to iTunes.

It's also a stupid idea that Palm should create their own program for syncing music to the device. If someone has been using iTunes to buy music, why cant they use the program to sync it to any damn device they want (it's not like Apple even had to write anything into their program for it to work). It's just petty and all it does is drive their customers away that were using their software.

Aug 3rd 2009 9:48AM My HTC Touch HD seems to do all of that bar the keyboard.
-Multitasking, check
-Remote desktop, check
-Great music player, well I'm using a program called Nitrogen which is by far the best music player on a phone I have ever seen. Personal preference here but there are heaps of different programs you can get (the default Windows Media Player is crap). has 3.5mm jack, havent noticed poor playback
-Really good camera. I wouldnt say it's really good, it is only a mobile phone camera, and no flash to boot. But it is 5mp, and personally I'm quite happy with it (as good as my previous Nokia N95's)
Touchscreen laggyness? I find that the ROM's pushed out by XDA-devs keep making these devices better and faster. I don't notice any laggyness unless its still booting or loading a program.
So based on that, and the continuous updates and improvements XDA-devs keep pushing out, I would have to vouch for the Touch HD or any similar winmo device (Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 if you want hardware keyboard etc).

Oct 9th 2008 11:59PM I've been interested in getting an e-reader and using e-books for a long time, but e-books seem to be very expensive for what they are, and then theres the issue of all the different formats that ebooks can come in.
Due to that, touch phones like iPhone/TouchHD/G1 make more sense, where you can get programs that can read different formats of ebooks (not as easily as a proper e-reader, but damn convenient nonetheless). Easy to scroll around the pages too with the touch screen.

Oct 8th 2008 8:05PM This looks like the ugliest, most useless device i've seen to date. What is it's purpose and who is the target market?
This is easily outdone by existing HTC's and Blackberry's (that don't look as though the buttons have been thrown into wherever they fit, BB Bold for example manages to have all these buttons and not look over cluttered??).
I just can't see what the target market for this device is, especially considering it lacks 3G (not to mention the fact that someone slipped while photoshopping the design and accidently put the screen offset to one side).
