T-Mobile G1 now available in frosty white {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 25th 2008 4:09PM I would want a limited edition bright green like the Android logo. But any other colors? Probably not. Maybe red, but that's highly unlikely.

Latest Samsung Instinct firmware update looks promising {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 24th 2008 9:41PM This thing will never be an iPhone killer as far as aesthetics and userability. But the phone is OKAY now with the update. It's still a pain. I would much rather have a G1. I would get the Touch Pro but all Sprint can give me is a 100$ discount off of a fully priced phone (which is still 400$) so screw it. I guess I'm going to hold out until there's an Android phone that resembles the HTC Touch HD (and maybe run on 4G - like the russian one, hell, I would take that phone even if it is WinMo.)

Sony Ericsson's X1A surfaces in Best Buy's inventory {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2008 4:40PM I want to know which carrier it's going to. Since it's a.. what do you call that.. GSM phone? It's either T-Mobile or AT&T right? I sure hope it goes to T-Mobile for their cheaper pricing.

Anyway, AT&T already has the Fuze (aka Touch Pro), why do they need another one? Sprint has the Touch Pro and the Diamond, AT&T with Fuze and BB Bold, Verizon with the Storm, Touch Pro, AND Omnia, and what does T-Mobile have? The G1? Come on, more variety!

Not that I'm pro T-Mobile, I'm just pro-cheaper plans. I'd actually prefer it if the X1 came to Sprint, since I'm here already.

The better part of Nokia's smartphone roadmap goes on display {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 10th 2008 4:06PM Despite Nokia not being as popular as the iPhone, RIM Blackberries or the Android (OS), I still think that Nokia is one of the better handset manufacturers. They make some of the most interesting phones, and I support them. I remember seeing that one avant-garde stick phone and I was immediately obsessed with getting one. Unfortunately it lacks any features, but it sure did look futuristic and odd - and beautiful.

I look forward to what Nokia will come up with. Hopefully another fashionable, artsy avant-garde phone with a 3.0-3.8 inch screen, slide out keyboard and Android! OH god, that would be perfect. As perfect as what could have been with the Touch HD and Android. Ugh. Speaking of Touch HD, HTC is another good handset manufacturer in my book, but their stuff is more refined. Nokia is definitely more stylish. Unfortunately, for some reason, the US tends to not pick up any of those stylish phones. Those dull idiots at Nokia USA.

Apple's new iPod chief ordered to stop working {Engadget}

Nov 9th 2008 4:36PM Who cares about that guy. Who's that other bald one next to Jobs? Hmmm..?

Ericsson: 20 megapixel cellphones shooting Full HD video in 4 years {Engadget}

Nov 7th 2008 12:48PM How come there's no mention of battery life? With all these features in the future, batteries will need to have at least five times as much power compared to batteries nowadays (which as we all know already is bad - right iPhone and other smartphones?). Some sort of natural charger (like solar or what have you) that's built in to the phone would be preferable. That, or just a battery that can last for a couple of weeks of use without dying.

Not so fast: Android isn't coming to AT&T just yet {Engadget}

Nov 6th 2008 4:40PM I was going to make a comment about how stupid Sprint is compared to AT&T, but it seems as if AT&T is doing the same thing, they just worded it more pleasantly than Sprint did with "not good enough yet". Phew. I was worried I was going to switch to the very expensive AT&T for a second. I'd rather stick with Sprint.

Mystery Verizon phone features 3-inch touchscreen, attachable function modules {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 4th 2008 8:45PM Oh, that's unfortunate. That magnetic concept is pretty neat. I hope there aren't any physical connectors. That seems very first gen. Anyway, whatever this is better be revealed soon. I need a phone to settle on for the next couple of years without drooling (too much)!

Manufacturing delays said to be slowing XPERIA X1 sales {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 4th 2008 3:30PM MAN.. I was so psyched for yesterday too. Xperia disappointed me. :(

Mystery Verizon phone features 3-inch touchscreen, attachable function modules {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 4th 2008 3:29PM Yeah seriously, new and better phones are coming out everytime it's so HARD to settle! I was going to get the Touch Pro and settle on that for a bit until a cooler phone comes out, and now there's all this news.. man. I love these types of phones, like avant-garde type phones.

Anyway, a phone like this was shown as a prototype in some show, I'm sure Engadget covered it. I know Gizmodo did. A phone with a separate screen and keyboard? The concept phone has been shown already. Maybe LG picked it up? The concept phone did look sweet though. I believe it was black with red glowing lcds or buttons? That phone was sexy. Hopefully it will be the same phone.
