Mysterious HTC Hero revision pics surface, angled chin now M.I.A. {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 1st 2009 12:40AM I was actually looking forward to a more "unique" looking design. If that is what Sprint is fielding...I'd have to slap on those beer goggles before purchase!! I'm actually hoping that Sprint will field the Hero as is...INCLUDING the white version...so...virginal...HAHA...makes me want to get my dirty grubby hands on it!!

Jul 2nd 2009 12:59PM What's new about Sprint missing the bus....weren't Sprint part of that Android Open Source group....how long ago did G1 come out...where are you now Sprint!!! Pre...what Pre...Touch Pro 2...where is that?? How about some Android love...OR even some sexier HTC offerings!!!!
Yes, I'm a disgruntled Sprint subscriber

Firefox Fennec now available for WinMo in alpha form {Engadget Mobile}
May 17th 2009 1:58AM Better than I expected after being disgusted with the pre-alpha. Tabbed browsing is "more intuitive" than Opera Mobile; zoom is practically non-existent here; load speed is in the Skyfire/PIE neighborhood; extension support works "almost" like the desktop version; all "buttons" are very intuitive and easily accessed...no guess work at what button does what...i.e. the jigsaw puzzle piece meant only one thing: EXTENSIONS!!; Most sites loaded their mobile counterparts...did have a couple load up the html version. "awesome" bar works just like its desktop big brother...even with some rather obscure entry; about:config turned up some regedits that i didn't understand...but its nice to see the same warranty warning...
It is an alpha, and it shows...HOWEVER..it is still early in development stage...and it is looking RIGHTEOUS!!! Hope they fix the zoom function, can't wait to see the full flash support. For an Alpha it is basically functional...but I'm not about to delete Opera Mobile just yet....now...if they can sync XMarks from the desktop version...hmmmmm
Windows Mobile 6.5 to officially "launch" on May 11 {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 18th 2009 2:04AM I've sampled 6.5's titanium...I too went back to TF3D. Not sure its all that...so I'll wait and see.
I have ran the Rhodium TF3D ontop of 6.5...and I can honestly say it is sickenly slick and fast!!!
"WM7 Titanium Project" adds glory, glitz, glamor to 6.5 {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 18th 2009 2:01AM You have to wonder about MS...I have been using WinMo on the Mogul and now the TouchPro...and I am more and more convinced that MOST iPhone users and lovers are sheep. Sure, its pretty and sure its user friendly...but when it comes down to it...Apple hides so much of what they do under the hood its pretty ridiculous. Customize? what's that with an iPhone.
I frequent a couple of forums out there ... xda...for example...and the things that are accomplished in that community is pretty astonishing...esp when you know those are users of the device just like you!
I've sampled 6.5 and not sure I'm sold yet. I still love 6.1...and yes I SWEAR BY IT!
If you have a WinMo device, I suggest you check out what has been cooked up out there...to get the MOST out of your device!

HTC throws firmware update at Touch Pro, now even more "betterer" {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 24th 2009 2:42AM I would rather keep my custom ROM...instead of being handcuffed by what YOUR carrier wants YOUR device to be able to do.
HTC's Touch Diamond / Pro, how would you tweak 'em? {Engadget Mobile}
Jan 9th 2009 3:01PM 3.5mm jack
larger screen real estate
FULL TOUCH interface (save one maybe two hard buttons)
fix the heat issue during moderate or high demand usage
better power management (bigger capacity battery that does NOT require a pregnant door)
always can use more RAM...and faster processor
keep WinMo...since WinMo is still SOOOOOOOO customizable...most software/firmware issue can be addressed with the multitude of custom ROM's out there now its moot to even mention about start up times and such...
