Palm Treo 800w review {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 24th 2008 4:23PM I've had this phone for nearly two weeks. It is very solid and there's not a thing I wish it could do better! I wish the screen were a bit bigger, but love the keyboard and the ability to use with one hand (unlike the sideways sliders). I do wish it were a bit thinner and more pocketable and agree that it's not exactly fashionably cutting-edge. There's no headphone jack, but I use it with bluetooth stereo headphones in the gym and it is awesome! I strongly recommend going wireless like this in the gym; I just set it in the corner and walk around and do my routine. It syncs seamlessly with my work exchange server; it even syncs the pictures I have set on my Outlook contacts. The threaded text messaging is great! Overall, I totally love the phone.

Treo 800w spec sheets and training materials reveal details, lack of MMS {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 1st 2008 1:19PM At last! As rediculous as it seems, I have been waiting for this phone for a year now! It was a bit frustrating because rumors had it coming out at the beginning of the year. Many have said that this thing is behind the times, but non of Sprint's other devices put it all together quite as well as the 800w. A one handed full qwerty keyboard is essential. Other phones sacrifice function for aesthetic appeal. I prefer the 800w because it will get the job done. The only show-stopper is that it must fit slimly in the pocket, and while this device isn't the thinnest, it appears thin enough. It's slightly thicker than others, but that should hopefully give it much better battery life than my current phone which dies within an hour.
