Early Chevy Volt mule drives reveal surprisingly good stuff in Cruze bodies [w/VIDEO] {Autoblog}

Apr 14th 2009 4:20PM If you drive for 40 Miles everyday then you will have to charge the batteries at your home everyday. So the 2K you save on gas will probably be offset by increased electricity bills.

VIDEO: Autocar reviews Tata Nano, comes away rather impressed {Autoblog}

Mar 26th 2009 12:10PM No one said Americans can't innovate anymore in any area. I agree with the reviewer that Americans won't have done this, not because Americans can't do it but because Americans are no longer willing to do it since your attitude towards cars has changed since the days of the Model T. Henry Ford did it then because America needed it then. No American company would have been willing to do this now, since America no longer needs this.

Summary, it's more about willingness then ability. I'd say the same goes for the Germans as well.

Motorola's QA4, VE66LX, and QA1 dash onto the scene, rumor-style {Engadget}

Feb 13th 2009 5:47PM And my point being that if nobody wanted their crappy phones/interfaces like you say, they wouldn't have sold 65 million of those. Some day you will realize that just because you don't like something, doesn't mean everyone else in the world hates it as well.

Motorola's QA4, VE66LX, and QA1 dash onto the scene, rumor-style {Engadget}

Feb 13th 2009 5:27PM Because Moto sold more than 65 Million of these crappy phones last year. Why on god's green earth is it so hard for you to understand? This is NOT rocket science!

Sanjay Jha in at Motorola as co-CEO, handset division chief {Engadget}

Aug 4th 2008 12:48PM My guess is getting Jha to report to Brown, wouldn't really have been a promotion for him since he was reporting to QCom's CEO anyway and getting Brown to report to Jha would have been a clear demotion for Brown.

Co-CEO seems like the only mutually acceptable solution. If it will work or not is anyone's guess. Wall street seems pretty excited though.

What if you could change the iPhone 3G? {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 3rd 2008 12:56AM How about we have a "How would you change Engadget?" poll?

1) Fire the Jobs' ass-kissers and bring some sanity (read objectivity) to tech blogs.

Motorola W388 induces pangs of boredom, sleepiness {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 15th 2008 11:21PM I know what you mean. But I don't think this is hate towards Moto. It seems more like a pathological denial to see anything beyond the high-end as being useful. Moto just seems to get more of it since they haven't done a very good job with servicing that segment (high-end) of the market.

It's funny how they think they know what the people want. If Ryan had actually been made the CEO of Moto, I guess all you would see are 8MP phones with tons of features that most people don't really use and Moto would lose even the 8-9% market share it has now owing to no sales in cheap markets.

Of all the talk about 3G and WiFi and what not, ultimately only 15% of the people in the US actually use internet on their phones. I read some time back on another tech blog on how they were pissed on not being considered mainstream media at trade shows. I think you guys have a long way to go. You can start with not considering the needs of 85% of the people "mediocre".

Analyst says Motorola "would be lucky" to get $500 million {Engadget}

Jul 10th 2008 5:57PM Take it with a pinch of salt. Just because this estimate is bad doesn't mean it's any more accurate than the "analyst's" last estimate.

I have been a lifelong Moto fan. Can't wait for the Blaze.

Go Moto!!!
