BlackBerry Bold 9700 announced, launching globally starting next month {Engadget}

Oct 21st 2009 7:38AM I am very much looking forward to this phone. Smaller than my old bold, replaces the trackball with a trackpad, even faster hardware (though the bold was already excellent) the usual excellent blackberry screen with more detail, OS 5.0 (which will be upgraded with a WebKit browser next year - they bought out a WebKit browser company). And just in time for my birthday in November!

New iMac and Magic Mouse unboxing and quick hands-on {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2009 1:49PM The 27 inch Quad Core iMac is the first one I have seen that didn't appear completely gimped for the price when I first read the specs. The widescreen is nice as well. Too bad Apple still has some Bluray hate on still. This would be great with a bluray player. Regardless, this has entered onto the list for my next computer.

Zune HD's browser previewed, sounds just as sexy as the hardware {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2009 3:37PM I will be looking to replace an old iPod Touch this fall and it looks like there is going to be some great choice! I hope they bring out the new iPod Touch in a 64GB format. As well the Zune HD looks great and the Sony X series I had a chance to play with and is really nice. Great times to be looking for an mp3 player. I look forward to testing out the Zune HD.

Apple phasing out iPhone 3G in favor of 8GB 3GS? {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2009 3:34PM DIE ROGERS DIE! No matter what I would never buy a phone from them ever again, even a cheap 8GB iPhone 3GS. Anyone is Canada will tell you the same. Not to mentioned the three year plans for these prices, there are so many tacked on fees
911 fee
System Access fee
Plan fee (no overtime)
Text fee (and if you go over 20c/text including INCOMING!)
Voicemail fee
Long Distance fees

So the price they give in advertising skyrockets. If found it was easier to cancel and take the hit ($400 ETF) as it would be less than 2 months of cell phone charges between me and gf on our couples plan. Now on pay as you go. All the companies suck, though. At least Telus will be getting GSM access soon (rumoured to be the winter olympics in which they are a sponsor I think )

Windows 7 Starter Edition to pave the way for $200 netbooks? {Engadget}

Mar 31st 2009 8:36AM One of the concessions made to OEMs is the ability to change the login screen to another picture, so different companies can "brand" the software. Little stuff like that from what I have seen.

Sony gets official with VAIO P: world's lightest 8-inch netbook {Engadget}

Jan 8th 2009 12:11PM Agreed, it says right in their press release: "notebook". This thing will be the replacement to my iPod Touch.

A note on comments {Engadget}

Dec 19th 2008 12:27PM And here I was looking for an insightful topic about Dino-riders.
