May 24th 2006 1:40PM Am I missing something here? It seems that there is a USB equivilant for almost every PCMCIA card out there. Cellular cards are about the only exception I see, and at this cost, it might just be easier to connect your cell phone to a USB cable.

May 8th 2006 11:22AM If the price is right, this may not be such a bad thing. Think about it: This is just a drive. There is no audio or video out. This could be a lot cheaper than buying a standalone HDDVD player. While I agree that Micro$oft should have included this internally from day 1, this could be an upgrade path for the early adopters, and maybe Micro$oft will be smart and include this in a future hardware revision. I would say that if they got the drive to $100 (it's only a ROM, not a writable) and if the PS3 costs $500, this may be a winner; by a nose, but still a winner.

May 8th 2006 11:07AM It would be nice to see one of these with a 2GB Flash. Yeah, I know it would be more expensive, but this way you could keep Windows XP and a few apps in the flash. Think of the cold boot times.

Apr 17th 2006 1:46PM This seems like a sign of the Apocalypse! I don't think these OS's can get along. The OS war will be faught on the one machine. Wno will stand when the dust has settled? Perhaps DOS?
