Palm's Treo Pro spotted in Sprint attire? {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 11th 2009 12:56PM "the exterior looks about as normal as ever"
WTF? You guys were going ga-ga over the Treo Pro's design like two months ago, but suddenly you've decided to throw it under the bus because now it's not the Pre. The Pro is a far more business-centric device, which is why it's running Windows Mobile, and will be a device of choice by businesses far into the future because it *isn't* running WebOS. You guys make no sense sometimes.

HP's TouchSmart all-in-one PC slips on its business socks {Engadget}

Jan 8th 2009 12:37AM "Can you imagine if Dunder Mifflin landed a contract with ______, and every single ______ in The Office was replaced with a ______? Yeah, hilarity would undoubtedly ensue."

You could put anything in those blanks and it would make just as much sense, since this has absolutely nothing to do with The Office. So did NBC bribe you for a plug in this article or what? You hoping for a cameo?

Dell's Studio XPS 1340 and Studio XPS 1640 sneak onto the scene {Engadget}

Jan 7th 2009 8:39PM Why is that a bad thing? Would you rather 16:10? 4:3?

Palm's new website devoid of dedicated PDAs {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 7th 2009 1:02PM "the depth of field makes the 800w looks like an 800w nano"
I'm going to argue semantics here since you guys should know better: The effect you're trying to describe is caused by an artificial "perspective", not "depth of field".

Fuze, X1, and a couple Touch Pros: the ultimate WinMo smackdown {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 27th 2008 8:12PM This smackdown sucks, sad to say. Some models are ignored in certain sections for no reason. The pictures are scattered through the article randomly, not matching up to the paragraphs at all; it's difficult to impossible to see what's being described. For some reason, we have no picture of the Verizon model in many of the pictures, or a picture of the back of the Verizon model when all other 3 are of the front of their respective phones. Bizarre :-(

Where bad branding and 25 speakers unite: the fake Yamaha XpressMusic {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 8:02PM Somehow I'm more inclined to believe the Description portion which states that the phone actually just has one loudspeaker, rather than 25. But I suppose anything's possible.

What's going on with Sprint? {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 9th 2008 8:02PM My GOD how many times are you guys going to stick to your *thoroughly debunked*, *obviously incorrect* story about Sprint selling off "nearly all" of its towers? Your source botched the facts, but you aimlessly repeated them despite an outcry from your readers. Repeatedly.

You could at least just read the *first* comment of your bogus story (which you once again linked to as if it were true) at get a reasonable amount more informed.

Then move along to the *second* comment and finally get a decent grasp of the real situation.

I'm sorry, but this had to be said. Again.

Palm's preliminary quarter-end results show drooping revenues, bleak outlook {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2008 9:35AM A struggling company, struggling even more during a recession. This shouldn't surprise anyone. Actually, how about finding us some companies that *aren't* struggling right now? Slim pickings.

"Time to put up or shut up, Palm."
Yes, yes, that's both intelligent and helpful. Actually get angry with a struggling company because they're having problems. That'll fix things. Are you mad they haven't put out a product, or are you mad they haven't died? It's bizarre either way. Oh no you di'in't!

Palm's preliminary quarter-end results show drooping revenues, bleak outlook {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2008 9:31AM It isn't instant on. It just shuts off its screen when you aren't using it. Poke the reset button in the back and watch it reboot if you want proof that it isn't instant on. It's not any different than your PC or any other OS out there. They're all the same.
