Apr 15th 2008 11:04PM ummmm... it looks like an old Apple Newton :-P way to keep up with the times, iriver!
Walt checks out ThinkPad X300, also fits in manila folder {Engadget}
Feb 13th 2008 2:03PM too bad it's fugly! If only the Thinkpad had changed even a little in the last decade. I'd take a MacBook Air with its built-in battery (which I'm sure still gets better life) anyday
Apple TV Take 2 hands-on {Engadget}
Jan 16th 2008 3:57PM yes, Netflix is cheaper and allows unlimitied VoD for WINDOWS users only... they have promised Mac support since its inception almost a year ago and have yet to deliver (and probably never will). That's the reason I'm considering dropping Netflix in favor of the slightly more expensive AppleTV rentals, and I feel that many loyal Mac users will consider doing the same.
The hundred gadget giveaway: round 15 {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 7th 2007 1:47PM How about some news in exchange for a nice bluetooth headset to go with my now-$200-cheaper iPhone, or Helio to see what all the comparison is about, or an EV-DO card to see just how pathetic my EDGE speeds are :-P ... if you bought your 8gb iPhone on your American Express, you can call the Purchase Protection line and they'll credit the $200 to your account. The rep I talked to said that it isn't normally covered for price changes, but that they are making an exception in this case. Hope I win!
KEF's Muon speakers: 253 pounds of aluminum, no sense of decency {Engadget}
Apr 24th 2007 12:14PM I was under the impression that he DID design the Walkman, but he definitely DIDN'T design the iMac.
Video of LG's KE850: it's no poser {Engadget Mobile}
Jan 14th 2007 1:12PM The external design and the main menu (with the transparent clock and buttons at the bottom) are very attractive. If the whole interface looked like that, I'd be tempted to compare it to the iPhone when making a purchase decision. However, in the video, you can see that after the main menu the interface starts to resemble every other phone out there and LG didn't make very good use of the large touch screen. For me it's still the iPhone, hands down.
Did Apple swipe "Visual Voicemail," too? {Engadget}
Jan 14th 2007 11:14AM I really hope that when Vista Home is released there are as many articles about what they swiped from Mac OS X and other companies along the way ;-) If this were an article about some patent/trademark that clearly described "Visual Voicemail" and/or used the name, it would be a different story (and the type of story you could post dozens of for Vista), but this is pretty much just an article posing a question. So far I've thought that your iPhone coverage was very matter-of-fact, but not anymore.
iPhone & LG KE850: separated at birth? {Engadget}
Jan 11th 2007 12:20PM they both look like the current black iPods, which Apple patented long before this LG phone was announced. I don't think the Apple design was completely original, but it looks a lot more like the Nokia 8801 to me than this LG phone (LG also has a knock-off of the 8801 on another post today). And as far as the interface... the top of every cell phone looks the same (though the iPhone looks like the iPod), how creative can you be with a number pad?, the background being blue is a Mac OS X aqua thing from waaaay back in the day, and the iPhone has one real button at the bottom and a completely different interface. So on the surface they look similar, but both look like the current iPod.
Hands-on with the LG Shine {Engadget}
Jan 11th 2007 12:15PM I'd love to give credit to Apple for this design, but it's more like the Nokia 8801 than anything else. I actually think the iPhone looks a lot like the top slider portion of the 8801 (down to the glass, stainless steel edges, and even speaker). Don't get me wrong, I'll be replacing my 8801 with an iPhone the second it comes out, but for once I can't give Apple 100% of the credit for their design.

Jan 10th 2007 3:46PM go to finance.yahoo.com and get a quote for Apple or RIM. then click on the chart and it will give the option to compare it to the other... when you look at this starting at slightly after 12PM EST yesterday you'll notice that Apple's stock shoots up and RIM's takes a definitive plunge.
