NVIDIA tablet mystery solved: an ODM Tegra prototype {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2009 3:41PM There have been updates... Supposedly, TSMC has had general fab issues which have pushed back a few products including the Fermi... January 2010 is the new ship date. December is probably going to be nVidia's show-case month where they'll send out a few review boards for benchmarking.

NVIDIA tablet mystery solved: an ODM Tegra prototype {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2009 3:15PM Thanks for being objective about this, Engadget!

Gizmodo's Headline on this just went from "AMAZINGLY SEXY nVIDIA TABLET!!!" to "Cute Tablet sucks because it runs Windows CE... and that's it. No, we don't need to use it or hold it... it has Windows CE and we think it sucks".

NVIDIA CEO shows off mystery tablet, makes zero statements about mystery tablet {Engadget}

Nov 10th 2009 1:32AM No, it's not the modbook pro. Go look that up and see for yourself.

Nov 9th 2009 11:41PM Dude, Huang has been working out.

Nice tablet... looks like it'll sport one of the more powerful Tegras (600 or 650) and have a built-in webcam for video chat.

NVIDIA Tegra to power next-gen Nintendo DS? {Engadget}

Oct 13th 2009 6:15PM I wonder if they're just going to make the next Wii a docking station for this Tegra DS with a DVD drive. I think having a major-brand handheld that's also a plug-in HD console would be incredible. The Tegra has enough horsepower.

Verizon: LTE rollout to be 'as close to all-at-once as possible' {Engadget}

Sep 25th 2009 8:06PM Does anyone else feel like the Verizon LTE deployment is going to be plagued with problems, or is it just me?

Sep 12th 2009 5:55PM To Fnuky and all other Pandora fans...

All I have to say is that the Pandora hardware doesn't come close to the power efficiency of the Tegra. The Tegra may get 35 fps vs Pandora's 40 fps, but Tegra will do those 35 fps for 8-10 hours straight while fitting in the palm of your hand. Pandora is the size of a friggin netbook and might pull 8-10 hours.

nVidia's 2009 Tegra is the APX2600 which fixes up that memory channel issue. The DDR1 Tegra was the APX2500 that they showed off last year.

The 2010 Tegra is already taped off and will be 4x faster. The 2011 Tegra will be around 10x faster. They have a roadmap for this powerhouse.

Pandora isn't a valid competitor. It's nowhere near handheld size and the tech is nowhere near as power efficient.

The iPhone 3GS and the iPod Touch are dead... just friggin dead. They can't keep up performance-wise. They can't match the battery life. They don't have anything close to the Xbox 360 ecosystem in place. They can't do 720p video output. Microsoft has a winner.

Now... about that Zune HD phone...

MacBook Pro (mid 2009) in-depth impressions {Engadget}

Jun 18th 2009 1:48PM @wat up!

Wait... You just spent $2000 on a computer and justified it because "the intro was way cooler" and "the backlit keys feel great on the fingers"?!

Are you a moron? What ever happened to buying a computer based on what it can do vs. the stupid OS intro?

That's like saying "I bought a VINTAGE Ford Pinto because the horn sounded awesome and the seats gripped my ass in just the right way!"

So long, HSPA+: AT&T "likely" moving straight from 7.2Mbps to LTE {Engadget}
