European PSN releases for September 3 {Joystiq Playstation}

Sep 3rd 2009 2:16PM Where's all the damn premium avatars that they (Sony) said were coming? Yea, I'm probably just being really impatient but I always found it annoying how few avatars there are to choose from. Hopefully Sony just isn't listing them as an addition but they'll be there with the update.
Other than that, nothing exciting to me AT ALL!

Samsung Instinct gets its first firmware update: too little, too late {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 30th 2008 8:54PM Yea, but atleast people with the iPhone get to deal with Apple's amazing customer service. Have a crack in your iPhone? Walk into an Apple Store and they'll hand you a brand new one (as long as they're in stock, thats a different story considering they've sold millions) as opposed to dealing with a problem with Sprint. God, I can't stand Sprints customer service. God forbid I had a problem with my Instinct. I'd have to call, try and persuade them I had a problem, hope they RMA it, wait for another Instinct to be shipped. I've owned both. While the Instinct obviously has more features than the iPhone, overall it's just not as good. I'd happily get rid of the features the Instinct has (that the iPhone doesn't) just to get it to be as reliable as the iPhone.

Why do people feel the need to bring up the iPhone whenever the Instinct is mentioned? The iPhone's sold millions of units, the Instinct... Not so much. The iPhone is more of a smartphone (a beautiful integration of a feature phone and smartphone) as opposed to the Instinct being a feature phone.
Basically what they have in common is they're both touchscreens and the only thing the Instinct has over the iPhones touchscreen is the fact that it can be used with a stylus. Other than that, the iPhones touchscreen is still unmatched by any phone.

Helio's Ocean 2 exposed! {Engadget Mobile}

May 28th 2008 3:39PM Ummm, the Oz2 is no competition to the 3G iPhone.
Considering the iPhone has sold over 5 million units and there's only around 200-300,000 Helio customers... I don't think Apple would ever consider the Oz2 any sort of competition.

Samsung launches Instinct promotional site {Engadget Mobile}

May 6th 2008 2:09AM Just looks WAY to much like the iPhone to me. Honestly, Im not saying that every phone with a touch-screen is a complete cop of the iPhone, hell, I even owned a Voyager for some time. Loved it. But honestly I think if someones gonna make a touch-screen phone they need to come up with some originality! To me, if I walked around somewhere with one of these and someone I knew asked if it was the iPhone and I said "nah, its a new Sprint phone" they'd just say "egh, looks like you wanna pretend to have the iPhone". Not that I hang with materialistic people, but originality goes a long long way!
