DROID ERIS hands-on and unboxing! {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2009 2:57PM I'm definitely torn as well. Nice cheap price, pinch zoom, sense UI, compact, only Android 1.5 (for now) in the Eris. Droid has that nice hi-res screen, lacks the multitouch goodness in everything, so-so keyboard (which I likely won't use), has free turn-by-turn nav, cool dock stations (both of which I'd want), and speedier, apparently crappy camera. If the Hero is anything to go by, the Eris will not have a decent camera either, so that won't make a difference. Gah, why do we still have to compromise on every phone out there (Apple included)?!

SEMA 2009: Mazda introduces us to a happy couple, inspires 3-some {Autoblog}

Nov 5th 2009 11:44AM I'm normally not a fan of white cars, but this looks hot! I also agree about the red tail lights looking better than the standard ones.

Tokyo Preview: Near-production Honda CR-Z "Concept" unveiled {Autoblog}

Oct 1st 2009 11:37AM The new concept really reminds me of the old CRX, in a good way. I'm interested to see how this car turns out in real life and if it can add some thrill to hybrid driving.

Review: 2010 Audi S4 brings back the boost, gives "S" a reason for being {Autoblog}

Sep 28th 2009 4:45PM It sounds great, other than being a little TOO low key for my tastes. It's got the shiny S4 mirrors, but the wheels are a bit bland. Also, that gas mileage improvement is insane with the new engine. Nice job, Audi!

Sprint temporarily loses its mind, wants $250 for Samsung Instinct HD {Engadget}

Sep 24th 2009 1:09PM Just to be clear, it's not the fact that Sprint is pricing a phone at $250, it's the fact Sprint is also selling excellent and likely better phones like the Pre and Hero for much less. The service plan pricing is moot since it's the same for any of those phones. Sprint is definitely "on" some good stuff...

REPORT: Once again, the Nissan Cube proves that it's hip (for older folks) to be square {Autoblog}

Sep 24th 2009 12:30PM The average age of 40 isn't TOO bad as far as that thing goes. I think most people would be surprised by the average age of new car buyers. As was pointed out, younger buyers often lack income and credit to get a lot of new cars at current prices and want to get a cooler car for their money by buying USED. I actually like the CUBE and if I wasn't into sports cars, I'd have considered it when I was in college. I absolutely can't stand the element and the original Scion xB just seemed cheap. The current one is just blah. I saw some 20-something people drooling over the Kia Soul at the auto show last year and I just didn't get it. I'd take a Cube over that thing any day. Of course, maybe it's because I'm 36.

As far as Mini Cooper buyers, I googled a JD Powers article that stated Mini Cooper buyers are 10 years younger than the average Prius buyer, which is 57 years old. That makes the average Mini Cooper buyer 47. I've seen quite a few Gen-X (possibly Gen Y) Mini drivers at autocrosses, but an event like that is going to skew younger anyway.

REPORT: GM dealers opting out of 60 day satisfaction guarantee? {Autoblog}

Sep 22nd 2009 12:55PM If they really want to (slowly) earn consumer confidence, GM should match Hyundai's warranty.

REPORT: GM kills plans for unibody pickup truck {Autoblog}

Sep 21st 2009 11:53AM The Terrain isn't ugly. I could see polarizing, but it's tougher looking and more futuristic looking than say the Equinox (which I like as well). I'm not surprised that GM killed the unibody truck. I've always been disappointed by the Ridgeline's fuel economy all things considered. I just don't see the point.
