Nov 2nd 2009 2:42PM Dan, I don't want to belittle auto workers, especially since some of my own family members work in car factories, but have you heard of climbing up the ladder and wanting to make something of yourself?
You start out screwing in Bolts for $10 and hour when you are a kid, if you are a good screwer, you move up to more skilled/better paying jobs. Its how people better themselves.
We don't all aspire to $75,000/year McDonalds jobs flipping burgers.

I was screaming about this when the govt. was bailing out GM. Now the predictions are coming true and the writing is on the wall. It might just be time for Ford to dump the Union altogether if they aren't willing to bend.
