Jun 1st 2009 7:57PM i really don't believe this good will from being able to stand on their own will help ford in the real world. most people are not as informed as autoblog readers. they'll walk into chrysler and gm dealerships, the salesmen will tell them that the warranties are now backed by the gov't, and the customers will believe every word of it.
obama administration should force the uaw to give ford as good a contract (if not better) than GM got. and until chrysler and gm pay the money back, ford should be the exclusive provider of government fleet vehicles.
