iPhone 3G SIM unlock demoed on video, zero details given {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 24th 2008 3:31PM I unlock & jailbreak iphones myself. Winpwn 2.0 is out yesterday but it doesn't unlock 3G iphones. There is a competitor here in town who says he can unlock 3G iphones so I sent a spy with a fresh 3G iphone to have it unlocked. Will report back with results....
Method devised for pwning first-gen iPhones running 2.0 via Windows {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 21st 2008 4:19PM After careful reading of the instructions, it seems you must start with a iPhone with 1.1.4 to do the pwning to 2.0. It doesn't clarify if you can do it with 2.0 to begin with! Any idea? Any idea?
Method devised for pwning first-gen iPhones running 2.0 via Windows {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 21st 2008 4:15PM I've been downgrading the 2.0 to 1.1.4 and unlocking & jailbreaking the 1st gen. It would be nice to do the same but keep the 2.0 firmware. Will report back with winpwn method.
iPhone Dev Team says Pwnage Tool won't unlock iPhone 3G (for now) {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 18th 2008 9:00PM I wonder if the 3G iphone can be downgraded to 1.1.4 like the 2G iphones? 1st Gen iphones that were upgraded to 2.0 firmware can be downgraded to 1.1.4 to be unlocked. Could the same thing be done to the 3G? Anyone? Anyone?

SK Telecom still interested in scooping up Sprint? {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 15th 2008 5:42PM I can only hope and dream! I'm with you Chris!
MetroPCS MetroFlash welcomes Verizon, Sprint customers -- and their devices {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 30th 2008 6:56PM You know I sent them the tip about this a week ago. I guess there's just way too much news about the wireless world!
Two years and half billion later, Helio sells for a song. But why? {Engadget}
Jun 27th 2008 6:23PM It's simple really, there's a deal for SK to take over Virgin Mobile USA. Remember 17.2% is the second largest ahead of Sprint 14.1%. At one time there were rumors that SK wanted to buy Sprint but Sprint rebuffed them. SK is no fool nor are they small peanuts for you non-korean folks. SK is at par with Verizon, AT&T or any other carrier in the world if not bigger. A company that once tried to buy Sprint, you think can't gobble up little Virgin, even if Sir Richard Brandson owns part of it! Just wait and watch everything that unfolds my American friends.
Virgin Mobile's "Totally Unlimited" turns off the meter for $79.99 a month {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 24th 2008 8:39PM With the dollar taking a free fall 50 or 60 Euros equate to roughly $77 to $94 good ole US dollars. So who wins the argument? I see a draw here. Subsidizes for phone prices feels just like home. I do like the 18 months contracts though...
Helio's Ocean 2 in the wild {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 23rd 2008 8:36PM How narcissistic, screaming about "credit due" and "credit want"...get real! Engadget mobile, I sense that you delight/root in the apparent collapse of Helio. What you got against Helio? I would like to think you check you sources and double check them before spreading viral rumors of Helio's collapse. I highly doubt that SK will just flush their money down the toilet. Helio made a mistake opening corporate stores since they don't have enough phones to offer. The exclusive retail spaces were a bad mistake & they're realizing it. The Palo Alto store was the worst production in Cali. Virgin's business model is to support the indirects & that's what Helio is following. Helio also realizes that kiosks are the way to go. They are currently offering financial options to multiple carrier store independents to open exclusive Helio kiosks in Nor Cal. I know I'm one of them. At last peak at the stocks, Virgin ain't doing so well. Virgin will buy Helio & SK take over both company. They will be a force in the market with 5 million prepaid + 200K growing postpaids. Did you also know Helio just launced a new program where if you prepay your Helio bill up to $150 at activation, you can have your $350 deposit disappear! WOW!!!
