I was under the impression that the regular color Magenta could not be trademarked becuase it was not unique and was considered generic IAW trademark laws. But you could trademark a variation of it and they would have to prove that the engadget logo is the same variation as the t-mobile logo, which as someone has already pointed out, isnt the same. I would say, and IMHO, DT doesnt really have a legal leg to stand on in this case since they are merely stating violation of the trademark based on the color and not the color variation.
