Sprint getting BlackBerry Curve 8530, too {Engadget Mobile}
Nov 5th 2009 12:54PM I was going to respond to VZW on this, but I guess Engadget did it for me. This was known before the Tour was even available.

Nov 5th 2009 10:33AM Sprint is dropping this but the question is when. It would be ridiculous for them to drop this next year.

New lease on life: 3GPP2 publishes CDMA2000 1X Advanced spec {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 18th 2009 11:18AM Of course Sprint is jumping on this, it's a CDMA thing. This is great news, but LTE/WiMax was going to solve this anyway. I guess I'll have to wait for someone who has more knowledge in this matter.

RIM officially intros BlackBerry Curve 8520, promises "out of the box" Mac compatibility {Engadget}
Jul 27th 2009 7:15AM So people are not understanding the point that this is meant to be a low end smartphone. It's a little bit better than the Curve 8300 series, and that's it. RIM is trying to cater to every market now, and that includes people who can't afford their high end phones but want a piece of the action, or people who want a cool second phone. Comparing this to other high end phones is silly.

May 21st 2009 1:11PM Sean, all of that is good but does the phone have WiFi? I'm not with Verizon but that would be a great step in the right direction.
Verizon releases early data-focused LTE specs, CDMA nowhere in sight {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 18th 2009 8:34AM Thanks VZW. Smh, what the hell is Sprint thinking? It's going to be a huge make or break, and I hope it's the initial part. I've read the specs for it and while it's amazing, I don't see it helping our limited phone selection.
Verizon releases early data-focused LTE specs, CDMA nowhere in sight {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 17th 2009 5:15PM Question: Sprint is coming out with WiMax/4G, and Verizon/AT&T is implementing LTE. Verizon and AT&T having the same technology means that they will soon have the same phones ala new Verizon Bold and AT&T Storm. Will this be the same scenario with Sprint since they will be 4G too?
