Riddex Plus dispatches pests the easy way: with "Motorolla technology" {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 7th 2008 4:05AM Regardless of what Riddex claims about their product, some simple research will prove that roaches (as well as most other insects) are attracted to electromagnetic fields, produced by the flow of electrical current. In laymans terms: Bugs like electrical/electronic devices. I have freakin roaches living in the display of my microwave. So, wouldn't it stand to reason that this electronic, pulse-emitting device , would be more likely to ATTRACT insects than to REPEL them, as intended? Maybe it attracts them so strongly that they flock inside the walls towards the electrical wiring, so it SEEMs that they are gone... when they are have actually just become a deeper, larger, and harder to eliminate infestation.... JUST MY THOUGHTS.... feel free to quote. ;)
