Hands-on with the LG Vu in retail clothing {Engadget Mobile}

May 4th 2008 4:46PM Celz, what was the point of your post? This is a comments section on the Vu, not on Sprint's rate plans.

Phreak9mm, you are right, the Vu is much like Verizon's Voyager, except you CAN type on screen. The phone has a dial pad and a full keyboard similar to that of the iPhone.

One update I would like to make on my assessment of the Vu, is that the web browser for sure does not support flash or flash video sites such as YouTube.

One other note about the build quality of the Vu. Let's just say it feels "plastic".

Regards

Hands-on with the LG Vu in retail clothing {Engadget Mobile}

May 2nd 2008 4:50PM The AT&T store I work at just got a shipment of these in. I have been playing with one for about 15 minutes now. The web browser loads at decent speeds, but no Flash video support that I can tell. Camera quality is good. The pressure-sensitive touch screen is hard to get used to after using an iPhone. The biggest thought I have on this phone is that the interface leaves something to be desired. But for a non smart phone the Vu is not a bad device. It has more features than most other non smart phones.

If the price point was better then the Vu would be an excellent device.

HTC spy shot reveals handful of new phones {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 21st 2008 10:42AM The one in the bottom left of this photo looks like one of the phones that HTC says is coming to AT&T. The HTC Device Rep described a thin touch screen device with a sliding keyboard.

Can't wait to see.

AT&T Mobile TV: May 4th in three packages? {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 18th 2008 9:29AM I think it is funny how the top two bundles are essentially the same. One just has the $15 media net bundled in to one price. Oh well. Maybe seeing one price will show value.

In any case, I can't wait to see this in action.

AT&T's BlackBerry Pearl 8120 gets reviewed {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 21st 2008 5:59PM Cing Emp is correct. The insurance list shows the Pearl 8110. That being said, insurance goes through a company called Asurion, so it may be a typo.

AT&T to ask $250 for Motorola Z9, it seems {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 21st 2008 4:40PM True or not, that is not what the price tags look like at my store. And we are a corporate owned store...

In any case, it wouldn't surprise me if the price was that high. Gotta love motorola's price point...

AT&T iPhones get an "unlimited" calling plan {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 10th 2008 12:40PM When customer care audits the account and notices a smart phone IMEI attached to your SIM ID they will remove the $15 plan and either block your internet or up you to the $30 PDA feature. They normally contact you if this happens.

AT&T iPhones get an "unlimited" calling plan {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 10th 2008 10:18AM Chris, our unlimited data is only $30 for consumer PDA and Blackberry plans, or $15 on regular handsets. Therefore, the unlimited rate plan plus unlimited data for a non-enterprise consumer would be only $130 for PDA/Blackberries, or $115 for regular phones.
